It’s 5 series sized I think, about 4.7 meters but it competes against mid level 7 Series.

The Hierophant actually reminds me of various Japanese sports coupes of the 90s (especially the 300ZX Z32 and JZA80 Supra), which usually came in two trims: a less powerful normally-aspirated version and a more expensive turbocharged one.

I was with my friend when he got rid of his Dodge Stratus with wrecked bodywork (There’s a lot of narrow back roads around here, and a flatbed was driving a little too close to the center of the road going around a turn. The bed dug into the side of his car. Looked nasty.) and bought a 3000GT as a replacement. '93 I believe? It’s a first generation example, I know that. Has pop up headlights and those weird bulges on the hood. It’s an SL, so no turbos and only FWD, but it looks great both on the inside and the outside and it’s still faster than what I drive. He was also quite happy to be in a car with a manual again. He learned how to drive in a manual car, but his Stratus was an automatic.

Don’t know whether you’ll appreciate this story or not, but I felt like mentioning it given certain visual elements of the Hierophant. I dig the car.

And yes it does have some elements of the 3KGT, mostly the Supra as a way to poke fun of the forum’s general hatred of the thing.

Define “cheap”. We’re both young and pretty broke, lol. He picked up the SL for $4,000 I believe? Nowhere north of $5,000 at least. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a VR4 south of $10,000 that wasn’t a wreck. Although to be fair, I’m not very familiar with them. It was his decision. I’d have to ask him.
