Discourse Compatible Fonts

Considering how many people have issues finding which fonts work, I decided to compile a big(ish) list of fonts that work on Discourse! These were tested to work on Windows, not sure how they'll all do on mobile/Mac. (EDIT: sadly, not well at all) If there are others that work, feel free to comment them below! After about 10 minutes, I'll give this post a quick edit so the font CSS can be copied.

On mobile only Georgia and Courier are working. Which honestly sucks, but I guess is mobile browsers’ issue. Though I think Times New Roman works too.

That’s a remarkably small number…sheesh. Can’t say I expected that, but yeah, not much can be done there unfortunately.

This is super helpful! Can it be pinned to the top?

Gadugi should also work, it’s what I used for Arion a time ago

Technically, every single font can work on the forums, granted the person reading it has it installed on their device. So fonts like

Eurostile,
Roboto,
or even Sansation, Automation’s old UI font, can work.

You just have to have these installed.
Roboto works flawlessly on mobile too, since it is that OS’s system font.

I’m wondering linking other font files from other sources (Google Fonts maybe) could be working or not

Tried that, didn’t work. I might have been doing something wrong, but I don’t think so. It would be awesome if it worked.

@Reizei if you used those fonts in your post, then Roboto doesn’t always work on mobile, as for me the whole post is in the default font (Opera on Android 9).

Actually, I think the default font is actually just Roboto on mobile.
