I think we need to lighten up the mood a little bit. Analyzing everybodyâs car, writing reviews and running the race must take a shitload of time so please put the idea with the cliff on hold just for now. I donât know if anybody else would have the willingness to do it. Itâs 00:05 in Bucharest right now. Iâll be checking on this at work just after coffee and cigarettes in about 9 hours.
that was dry humor. iâll still do it all, but just not include my car because i was a clod.
and here i am with 185 rear tiresâŚ
ok guys just a few things. with the engine not being allowed to be exposed, this is simply meant to reflect real life cars so having air filters ect sticking a few inches out of the bonnet is not ok, neither would be inter-cooler pipes out the bonnet, however a rear engined car can follow VWâs example and allow the engine to be exposed for cooling (air) as it does not pose a issue to pedestrians. The rule is simply their so that the vehicles actually look like street registered vehicles for the Racemaster to review. so again with the indicator lights they need to be there but I will allow clear lenses as well as we can assume you are using a orange bulb. The front grill will be changed to visible radiator and/or visible air intake for the engine.
I try to follow ADR regs fairly closely so if there is an Issue just google Australian Design Regulations for motor vehicles.
edit: @JohnWaldock how did you go with the vents? If you have any issue you can always send me a pm with the cars to see if the problem persists across computers. I can help you with anything you may need with the races/reviews and scrutineering.
and as always Im sure the level of ingenuity in this round will blow the Racemaster mind lol it sure did to mine and I learnt a lot very quickly from hosting
i got on fine, just a mad dash for parts and it was all good.
and for the next round, can we have no stick-outey tires, please? this round iâll let you off, but for round 8, no.
pfft. nah. pure 185mm RR car. itâs gonna be a clown car
mine was 235âs.
time to scare the shit out of the city as itâs time to crown the fastest microcar!!!
7 entries have assembled at Willowbank to try to claim the DRC title, so who will it be???
Key Info:
2560cc V6 AlSi
RR Layout
356BHP
8600rpm Redline
Macpherson Strut Front/Rear
AHS Steel Monocoque/CR Steel Panels
1145kg
My Thoughts:
This mononomial entrant was a peculiar one as it was not only rather heavy, but lacked basic aids like power steering, in favor of just launch and traction control. interior was standard, but not bad, and the looks, despite being a little minimal, had some nice crazyness to it (like the engine juuust protruding out of the engine bay). but it remains to be seen whether these left field choices will pay of.

RR Layout
322BHP
9000rpm Redline
Pushrod Front/Double Wishbone rear
Aluminium Monocoque/Panels
993.9kg
My Thoughts:
when i first saw this car, i thought the name was very ironic as itâs a tiny lightweight car with a tiny lightweight engine. that was untill i saw the 322bhp power figure, and the name suddenly took on new meaning with nearly 300hp/l. inside, it was pretty spartan with a standard interior and basic ICE, but it was good quality. strangely, it lacked any driving aids barring the power steering. very odd. visually, i loved this car. it managed to look modern, imposing, and crazy without going OTT. very nice
##OMG Skimpy @one85db
Key Info:
3395cc Magnesium/AlSi V6
RR Layout
440BHP
6000rpm Redline
Macpherson Strut Front/Rear
AHS Steel Monocoque/Aluminium Panels
1141.7kg
My Thoughts:
this was an interesting beast. partly due to whatever magic was used to stuff that engine into such a small frame, but mostly due to the MAHOOSIVE tires. this was unmistakably a dragster and little else. the inside, however, wasâŚodd. it had a standard ICE and a premium interior, coupled with just power steering, so that was quite unique. styling wise, it was nice and clean, yet agressiveâŚor it would be if it didnât have clown shoes for back tires.

2010cc AlSi V6
TFAWD Layout
313BHP
9200rpm Redline
Macpherson Strut Frond/Semi Trailing Arm Rear
Aluminium Monocoque/Panels
983kg
My Thoughts:
the first front engined entrant comes courtesy of our reigning 2 time champion, so this could be the one to beat. Inside, though, itâs standard interior, basic ICE, and just power steering. so thats becoming a pretty common theme, here. as for looks. can you say shit eating grin? the grille on this is huge, nay, 'UGE! but i must say, i do approve of the rear end and the phat ass tires all round, very cool.
Key Info:
1902cc AlSi I4
FR Layout
255BHP
7900rpm Redline
Macpherson Strut Front/Solid Axle Coil Rear
Aluminium Monocoque/Panels
1007kg
My Thoughts:
Moldovan Blue! that can only mean another Boliq for me to look over. now this was the only FR car of the lot, and had a rather archaic solid back axle to go along with it. hmm. inside WAS a nice change, though. Premium through and through with both power steering and, for the first time today, ABS! joy! as for the looks, it had the classic Boliq lights, but it looked really outdated besides that, but i did like the flared wheel arches and the cobra pipes.

2823cc AlSi Xplane V8
RR Layout
486BHP
9800rpm Redline
Macpherson Strut Front/Rear
AHS Steel Monocoque/Partial Alu Panels
1168.8kg
My Thoughts:
well now for something totally different, an actual sports car, but with very skinny tires. that didnât fill me with any confidence. the interior was standard quality with a basic ICE, but it had all manner of driving aids, so some confidence was restored in itâs ability to cope with the mountain of power going through 185âs on the back. looks wise, i did enjoy the retro cool nature of the looks, if maybe with a tad too much chrome, but it was all ruined when i saw the Komodo squad took a hacksaw to the back arches to make the rather pithy tires fit (word to the wise, smaller diameters are your friend)

My Thoughts
Lastly, we have a diddy lil car from DSD, and knowing their reputation, i knew it was going to stand out. and it did, if in the opposite of expectations. it was the only mid engined car here, the only straight 6 here, and the only car to utilize a MOVH pushrod setup, so maybe a hint of costing in there? the interior was a nice premium one, but it only had a basic ICE, but this is drag racing, so who cares? oddly, it had no driving aids at ALL, so that left me a tad scared, but weâll see ho that turns out. lookswise, it was a bit of a busy, bug eyed mess at the front, with nothing going on at the back, so bare that it lacked reversing lights (ahem, road legal tut-tut), so that was a bit of a letdown for such a quirky car.
results to followâŚ
looks wise? sure.
speed and time wise? nope
guess which one i chose
4 out of seven are using the same body⌠just one more. JUST 1 MORE and it would be 5/7purrfectm8
oh boy⌠Iâm lacking 100hp
it still irked me. itâs ok, but stillâŚ
i see you also donât have the rims mod that i have. because thatâs not the rim i chose
well thats my fault, i have the rims i like, if they were the Fuchs, iâll give you a pass
i donât remember. but i think it wasnât. i think i went with a rim that fits the retro-classic theme, but not fuchs

NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooâŚokay in realitiy I was not even closeâŚoh well on to the next 3 wins⌠Congrats @koolkei !
you could have got it with a good dice roll, but RNGesus werenât havin it
Iâm never gonna get through the qualifying round. I felt that with this car, I wouldâve been at least in the semi-finals.
Could sir @JohnWaldock put the dice rolls after the carâs time, just like in round 6? I would highly appreciate it.
