First, my english is bad so please don’t punish me
When i look to the fuelcalculations, where i can find in which gear my car would be driven at a specific Speed, there are some calculationresults at the right, written as eco-acceleration i guess. As example, 200 times from 50km/h to 70km/h or something like that. But how is that calculatet? is that in a optimal acceleration-gear or in the max gear? Further, in max gear should be not possible if a automatic-torqueconverter is installed, theyre shift back automaticaly.
i look for the Information of calculating to improve efficency (i know, torquecurve plays a role).

ok, i was going to read now. it has nothing to do with economy but anyway. How is the acceleration calculated?
The fuel use for the acceleration runs is estimated like this:
accelerationEnergy = carMass * (speed ^ 2 - prevSpeed ^ 2) * 0.5 / engineEfficiency / drivetrainEfficiency * 1.5
where the engineEfficiency is the optimal efficiency you reach. This is then added up for 200 of these accelerations. You could say that the engine gets to accelerate at 1.5x worse efficiency compared to its best.
Acceleration itself (0-100 km/h, etc.) is properly simulated, with tire slip and various friction losses and air resistance.

And which gear would be used? the biggest possible?
Or an other thinkingstep, a engine has more than one optimal condition. Fuel per km, HP per Fuel, etc. means for example: for 50km/h is 6kW required, engines best economy for 6kW is at 1600 U/min but to drive 120km/h are 25kW required, engines best economy for 25kW is 2500U/min (Datas only to imagine). But when i accelerate, i simply try to be just below max torque in my real car (Yaris XP13, 1.33) for best economy.
In the game i see only one economyline in the graph which is the economy by full open throttle i guess.
oh dear, how can i give my thinkings in english…
different throttle, revs, economy and by accelerate changing conditions. when everything Comes together, and i understand where to find the important informations in the game, i can improve the efficency in acceleration too.
and to cruise along the efficencyinfo during semi open throttle.
can you get my mind sorted?
and if it wan’t matter that much in the final game, so tell me and i forgett it during a bottle of beer in the sun
What I do is I try to match the average rpm in the fuel economy window to the point of the engine where is more fuel efficient according to the fuel economy graph.
What Sillyworld does is the correct approach here, just up your efficiency in the fuel economy window for best results, which is set to 1500-2500 RPM.
As you can see from the calculations gear is not considered at all, neither is time, which is why we ignore gearing.
