I want to test a theory I have in mind and for this I need some engines that meet the criteria:
Man hours: 100
Year: 1993
Displacement: 5L Naturally aspirated or 2.5 L turbo (max boost 1 bar)
Fuel mix: no richer than 13.0/1
Only ONE camshaft per engine (sohc, ohv if V8)
These engines are preferred as racing engines
No need for mufflers Catalysts.
I need as many engine combinations as possible: 5.0 I6, 5.0 V8 5.0 I4, and also the same engin tyoes with turbocharging according to specs.
I want to see which Type is the fastest around the track and I dont want to putmy bad turbocharging skills in the way of the expreiment.
all engines will be fitted in the same car. whne the experiment is done I will publish the results.
This is not the most perfected engine, but it puts out a respectable 578hp.

When I get off work I will start on an inline six. As chief designer and CEO of charma Automobiles we specialize in power potential that is capable out of the inline six. My only question is what about tech points ? Can they be maxed or do you have a limit on them? That will play a good part in this test as will year of production which I see is in 93.

The engine you gave me has 2 camshafts…
Ignore that, I thought you meant 1 camshaft per bank.

first off I would like to say Jakgoe, you sir made an awesome engine! I have been tuning my 5L inline six for 5 hours now and the closest I could get to your numbers was 520hp. So the curious side of me got the best of me. I then downloaded your engine and found only small differences between our engines although the most shocking was the fact that your engine is having bottom end issues and still preforming as well as it does! Another key difference between our engines is you chose a long rod set up where I chose a shorter rod and larger bore this should have gave me an edge I would have thought, but the numbers say different. next is way you used your tech points… or more importantly lack their of. With this said I hoope you do not mind Jakgoe but I made a revision of your engine, but dont worry I do not plan on using this engine as I feel that would be cheating but I would instead like you to use it! I made very little in the manner of changes but managed to get your motor to over 550hp and not much in the terms of losses imo. I Applaud your building skills sir and maybe we can do a colaboration on a car together Charma Automobiles loves their straight sixes and you sir make a pretty potent one!
Now I will add both files and with both jakgoe, and Manche’s permission I would like Jakgoe to use this first engine as his motor as I changed Very Little.
