With the implementation of techpool in 4.2+, ET/PU limits seem redundant to me…

Also, while billet parts seem like overkill for the type of engine we’re making, it would be unwise to limit ourselves to cast internals, since they’ve been nerfed hard in the Ellisbury update (in terms of maximum RPM and torque loads).

And why force us to use cast-iron blocks exclusively in an era where alloy blocks were becoming more common in the upper end of the marketplace? This isn’t the 1970s we’re talking about.

Finally, setting the deadline 24 hours after the OP gives most of us too little time for our entries, even though you only want an engine instead of a complete car.

Introducing the Precision Engineering & Machining 30LX92 - 183-NUSS-MHRR-75, a 3.0-liter inline-6 masterpiece built to deliver both refined power and smooth performance. With 226.5 horsepower at 5700 RPM and 224.2 lb-ft of torque at 4700 RPM, this naturally aspirated engine strikes the perfect balance between efficiency and exhilaration. Whether on the open road or navigating urban environments, the 30LX92 ensures a seamless driving experience.

Crafted from durable cast iron with a precision-tuned aluminum 24-valve DOHC head, this engine is engineered for endurance and responsiveness. The use of a 11.5:1 compression ratio, along with advanced Variable Valve Timing (VVT) on all cams, ensures optimized airflow and fuel efficiency, delivering consistent performance across a wide RPM range. The engine’s multipoint electronic fuel injection and single throttle body intake contribute to a smooth power delivery, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

Designed for enthusiasts who appreciate smooth acceleration and reliability, the 30LX92’s naturally aspirated configuration and high-flow exhaust system bring an engaging, yet refined, driving experience. With mid-length tube headers and a 2.5” exhaust, the sound is as satisfying as the power delivery. This engine is perfectly suited for daily driving while maintaining the heart of a performance machine, ensuring top-tier reliability and lower maintenance requirements.

The 30LX92 is the ideal engine for those seeking performance, durability, and refinement, making it a standout choice for both everyday driving and high-performance applications. Whether you’re an automaker or an enthusiast building your dream car, the 30LX92 is the foundation of something exceptional.

is everyone ready? I completed my engine too.

now rate everyone’s torque curve. rpm does not matter, what matters is that there is good torque early on, and flat spots on the power curve

All three are pretty much the same, just scaled a bit differently.

This was the only challenge that had a submission date of just 24hours :joy:

And then the expectation that we judge it ourselves…

Sorry, I will do the scoring,
