"Feel like a sir" car competition

Hi !

Welcome to the “Feel like a sir” car competition ! It aims to determine the best car for nowadays snobs. The cars in competition will be assessed mostly on elegance and wealth tawdriness which are converted to Prestige and Comfort stats in-game. Those cars target group is mainly middle-class persons who wants to feel like a sir while driving.
Like, for exemple, Morgan Motor cars, your entries must use old body types and should be a symbol of class and luxury without being expensive because your clients can’t afford luxury cars. So production cost is limited to 20000$ maximum.

It is my first competition, so feel free to make some criticism if needed

Just a Few Thoughts.

  • No turbo allowed- Oh Okay. Why Exactly?

  • Safety > standard and no negative quality - I think it would be better to set a minimum safety number, as if we go for advanced safety, it can really actually save a lot of money.

  • No wings -Why?

  • Engine body and head in aluminium only - This is the most sensible choice for reliability, but it would make the competition more diverse to allow any type of material.

  • Engine capacity < 400ml per piston (3,2l for a v8) Why limit engine sizes? That would just end up with very few varieties of cars, as everybody would have to go for the same type of engine.

Agreed with all those points, and also, why an engine economy limit? I get that you don’t want people making engines that run really rich and not limit the total weight of the car etc, but it’d make more practical sense to stipulate an emissions and total fuel economy limit, especially if you get rid of the cc per cylinders.

A car with a ratio weight/hp=5 is correct?

Decided to do this for fun.

Erm, I think you should have packed your files and sent them to who’s running the challenge. This way everyone knows what you have done, and what would be necessary to beat you.

Fair enough. I’ve PMd the competition organizer. if anyone else wants to look, i can post the PUUSH link.

It’s the other way around, you want secrecy. At least that is the point of most challenges, I think.

You Reeeeeally don’t wanna show your stats, because as a competitor, I could make my car while looking at yours, go “That car has 60 prestige, So I’ll bump up the prestige of my car.”

The challenge for you is to find out how to get your car to have more prestige and still maintain other points )

Thanks for making corporate espionage really easy, you even did the calculations for me which are what is really important to know.

The OP tells you what the scores are, me calculating what my score is doesn’t change what it is. If you can beat it, good for you. I’m not taking this too seriously.

That’s fine, what’s done is done. It is better for your chances if you don’t post such information until after the deadline, but it is your choice on what to do.

I’m not taking this comp too seriously, especially considering the OP hasn’t replied to anything yet and no one else seems to have entered either.

Most of us are likely not entering until queries about rules have been answered. Also, as implied, a single post then no further activity from the OP for a fortnight is not a good sign.

Aww, it’s the single open competition right now and it’s neglected?
I even got my car ready.

meh… no turbos… I’m not doing this

I’m kinda into this… But I’d like the rules to be defined.

Dont even bother, this challenge is dead, OP hasn’t logged in in over a month.
