I have them pretty close, but they are still not 100%. If anyone else has any Ford engines they are replicating, post them here! Automation Ford Engines.zip (140 KB)
Hi , lately i’ve been trying to replicate my Ford Capri’s 3.0 Essex V6 engine , could you maybe give it a try? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Essex_V6_engine_(UK
Basic info :
2994cc OHV V6
93.67mm bore x 72.42 stroke
9.0:1 comp.
98 octane leaded
2bbl carburetor
Headers
Heavy cast pistons
Cast rods and crank
144Hp @ 5000rpm
182 ft/lb @ 3000rpm
Rev limit 6000rpm
I have also attempted replicating Ford Engines from the 60’s to the 00’s. All are Inline 4.
Kent - 1959 - 2008
Iron block and head. OHV. 39 - 111 bhp
Originally fitted to the Ford Anglia and last used in the Mk I Ford KA (albeit heavily modified with aluminium head and EFI in mid 90’s)
I’ve replicated some of the FE, 385, and 335 V8s that Ford built. I’m not entirely sure about being perfect matches, but I made it a point to leave the quality sliders alone while using the most precise bore and stroke measurements possible. If you’re interested in a particular motor I can upload it. I’ve built the 351, 390, 400, 406, 427, 427 SOHC, 428, 429, and 460.
Here are some of my replicas. They are organized into their official series name. I didn’t release all of my highly tuned motors 1) because I’m not ready to release my tuning secrets and 2) I may have gone overboard with some of my high horsepower aspirations . So you’ll have to make due with stock (and a 428 Cobra Jet).
Disclaimer I was more specific with some engines over others. The 385 V8s were my first recreations so they were slightly less accurate than the Windsor V8 engines which I spent much more time recreating. I intend to eventually go back through my entire collection and attempt to increase my overall accuracy regarding compression, timing, etc. If you have a suggestion or an edit, feel free to share. These are recreations so I don’t really take any claim to what I’ve produced since I’ve already stolen the ideas from Ford.
When Turbos come out for the V6’s i will try to replicate a Broadspeed Tubro Capri , 218 Hp and 275 ft/lb
I’ve also replicated engines like the 427 SOHC , 429 , Ford Kent Crossflow , Pinto , Essex V6 ofcourse , might try to replicate a Mustang 5.0 Coyote or even a EcoBoost V6 when the turbos come out !!!
It should have one family file (the Essex v6) and 3 specific files the pre71, post 71 and the 144hp in the variant files Infiltrator - Essex V6.zip (88.7 KB)
How about you guys give this engine a try :
3.4 Cosworth GAA V6
100 mm bore x 72.4mm stroke
forged Steel crank
h beam rods
forged pistons
DOHC 24v
10.0:1 comp
mechanical injection
