Eh

To expand on the “Eh”:

A lot of these things will be covered by preexisting and planned threads in the Challenges section of the forum. Casting the net too wide often causes inadvertent overlap and confusion, and without concrete, focused plans you won’t garner any interest.

The best thing to do would be to look for something specific that hasn’t already been covered and develop a solid set of rules for that. For example, while Touring Cars is now a popular tournament (thanks to Leo), we still haven’t had a V8 Supercar series based on Australian rules i.e. naturally aspirated 5L V8 5 door saloons (part of the reason being we haven’t built most of the tracks, the only one we definitely have is Mt Panorama.) Also, due to strict homologation in that tournament to make the cars as similar as possible, making rules strictly based on that wouldn’t work out as we don’t have human factor built into a pure car simulation… so that’d take some working out to generate an interesting competition.

You get the idea. Look at the tournaments already going on, see what works, see what doesn’t, pitch accordingly.

I’d say ‘value’ cars might be a bit overdone, almost every competition hosted in the last while has been for 15k or less cars, 50k is a pretty big budget, carbon fiber and titanium rods are affordable in that price range.

Thanks for the tips.
V8 Supercars, and Group Automation will be the events.
Group Automation rules, must have a I4 Engine, 4 seats ,be based on a standard model, and be for sale.
V8 Supercars ,same rules as the Aussie events , but you can use a wagon body style, and the race car must be based on a standard model
This section on the Car Sharing Fourm will be for race car designs, but tracks and events will be on the competition section.
