I have nothing to do with this, but holy mother of turbo lag. You would need to floor the engine to even get off the line, Jason.
(Sidenote, does it even have headlights or door handles?)
If you need headlights in F1 gimme a HELL YEAH!!!
And doors are opened and closed by the pit crew, the opening switch is well hidden
@koolkei you can do it on three ways
1] the old way - put everything together by yourself
2] borrow someone’s engine and fit in your car
3] bring your engine in someone’s chassis (and by someone I mean myself cause so far I’m the only one who has allowed to share)
I actually wonder if you could (for example) take my engine, but change the settings of turbos/fuel/valves/anything else…
Tiny displacement while trying to achieve modern F1 performance will get you that when the turbos are more akin to 80s tech. My engine that I’ll be submitting soon has the same problem. I’m not happy about it, but the engine is so small and responsive that it leaps off the line just fine. My powerband is also pretty broad, so once I’m off the line my car doesn’t bog down. I have the files exported, I just have to send them along from my computer and take a few pictures to post. I’ve just been so busy.
What if I don’t want other people to use my chassis, or if someone doesn’t want to let me use theirs? Also, they are the ones who will do the fine tuning, so they could sabotage their customer chassis on purpose, or will there be some kind of rule to stop that happening?
I am looking a chassis provider. If your chassis is good, I am interested in purchase one of your frames to fit my engine, without any saboutage (I hate this), and, if you would, I sent now the engine fitted in your chassis to set up and assure that reach your requirements and isnt downgraded.
It was my understanding that chassis builders would have the engine sent to them. They would then mount the customer’s motor into their chassis and then send the whole vehicle back to the customer. The customer would then have the opportunity to tune the suspension and aero without altering the components of the vehicle itself.
EDIT: I will be entering both a chassis and a motor for use by competitors. I don’t have a fancy post made up yet with all of the details, and I may tweak only the appearance of my chassis on the rear if my schedule allows for it, but my entry has been submitted via PM as it is functionally ready to compete. In the mean time, here is my paint scheme:

I could send you my chassis! But if you are looking for another chassis, then you can go check out others.
I can get around 244 MPH using my chassis with my engine. My engine provided around 750 HP.

Dalora Racing would like to announce the Dalora F1 690. Powered by the DRE 690T, this car is the final product of many hours of tuning and redesigning, The only thing that stayed the same is the colour, and the parts of the rules that are set in stone. Also enjoy the livery as well
I haven’t yet made a chassis or anything, I was wondering how the rules work first to them see if it’s worth the bother. Still no one answered me directly. How does chassis buying works? Can I ask anyone? Are they obliged to let me have their chassis? If someone uses my chassis, do I get some kind of benefit?
Yix Auto has found F1 engine building pretty straightforward. Ready prototype is available for one (first) applicant. It is unknown if Yix Auto is building a chassis ATM, but they are definitely reading this topic )
