General Update

Over the next month or so, there are going to be quite a few changes to the website.

The forums are going to be preserved (all current posts, topics saved) and spun out in their own page and not restricted within the confines of this content section.

This should make the forums easier to read and handle. The integration between drupal and the forums (phpbb3) is being tenuous at best. For future maintainability and what we want to do, they need to be separated.

The front end with the content and news will be built on a new CMS system, and I open for suggestions if anyone has any.

I have now reduced my job work hours, and no longer work 5 days a week so I can devote more time to Automation, a lot of the art is nearing completion, and we may also bring someone else on board to help out with some of the art tasks, we just need more programming fu.

Now the important bit, and shows if you pay attention and read what we post.

In the next few weeks, we will be looking at doing some closed beta testing on the engine designer. If you are interested in participating email testing@automationgame.com, with the following information:

Your forum username
Run dxdiag (Press the Windows key + R, type dxdiag, press ok), press Save All Information..., save the txt file and attach it to the email.

That is all we need at the moment.

Then be patient, you will hear back from us.

Yay great news

That’s great, just sent the e-mail. And now, I’ll have to do the being patient part. It’s going to be much more difficult.

yes done the email, now im waiting

Great news! I’am still in my workplace, but as soon as I get home I’ll send the mail.

Email away! Can’t wait, this kind of game is what i always wanted! <3

What skills are required for betatesting? Knowledege of engines, any computer related skills?

Knowledge of engines is a bonus, participating in the community is the main selection criteria.

Computer skills no so important, we want it to just work, and tell us if it isn’t.

I sent my email.

I have good knowledge of engines and I know I’ll spend hours designing engines… Can’t wait! :ugeek:

Great! I have send the email:)

great news will be sending the e-mail later today as i am not home right now

um, on the hp is a a link named beta test application.

do those of us who already sent the e mail need to apply there too?

No, that’s fine

This game is looking real good, cant wait to get to see it in all its glory.

Zeussy and Daffy, as mentioned earlier, if you need sounds for V8’s i have 3 that are there for your use when its needed

Thanks Das

Yep, we are waiting for our sound guy to be free again, but you’ll have all our V8 sounds covered I would say

Well a V8 from the 70’s/80’s, the 90’s and 2000’s  But they are all Holden based V8’s

Well, should cover everything except the ridiculously smooth Lexus/BMW v8 kind of sound, and the highly strung little Ferrari sound at least

Unless you want to buy an m5 and a ferrari for us?

ummmm i can do you a turbo boxer 4 and a german V6…

Nice, that will actually fill out the range of cars we need to record nicely, we will let you know when we are recording

After my application for closed beta was Forgotten! guess i will have to buy an M3/5 then :stuck_out_tongue:
