Groves Automotive was founded in New York City 1942 in order to bring the American auto industry back to life after World War II. It was in 1945 that they created their first vehicle, the G-Series. Starting with the G-100 in 1945, this was an easy to use pickup truck that was fast, yet economical. It was in 1950 that their first proper car was released, the Broadway Coupe, which featured a modern design and a powerful V8 engine. In 1955 Groves Automotive relased their first sports car, the Speedster. Powered by a 315HP 6.0 V12 it was one of the best sports cars of it’s time. With the race tuned GTS Groves Automotive had their first taste of motorsport in 1956, when they entered the Speedster in the prestigous 24 Hours of Le Mans that year. An 11th place finish by the #22 car motivated Groves Automotive to improve the car for next year’s race and they also managed an 8th place finish in 1957, however in 1958 the competition ramped up and the Speedster was no longer competitive.

In 1945 Groves Automotive built their first vehicle, the GU-120. The G-120 (Groves Utility 120) is a small pickup truck powered by a 5.0 V8 engine producing 136 BHP @ 3800 RPM. Initially it was only produced in small numbers (50 trucks in 1945) but as sales increased GA were able to increase production, with 130,000 being sold in 1952.

130000?
that’s a good number!

you should also edit your original post with your other cars,
instead of replying everytime

Once I can add more than 1 image per post, I will. But every time I make a new car I’ll make a new post, with some more detailed information about it.

1955-1963 Speedster

GA’s first sports car was the 1955 Speedster. Powered by a 6.0 V12 that produced 315HP, more than the equivalent Ferrari, it was one of the fastest cars of it’s time. A racing version, called the Speedster GTS, was also produced. It featured a coupe body style and a race tuned version of the 6.0 V12, producing 350HP. It was lighter as well, and featured racing suspension and brakes. Top speed of the GTS was increased from 145 MPH to 160 MPH and 0-60 went from 16.7 Secs to 14.3 Secs. 2 racing versions with were run at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1956. With a slightly smaller engine (5.0 instead of 6.0) the cars ran in the under 5 litres class. #22 finished 11th overall, after 230 laps, while #23 suffered transmission failure after 188 laps, so it was classified in 17th.

okay, no problem!

1958-1972 GU1200

With producition of the first generation G Utility Series ending in 1952, Groves Automotive immediately set to work to create it’s successor. The result was the 1958 GU1200. It was completely different to the old GU Series in many ways. Firstly, it was a van instead of a truck and it also featured an 800cc Inline 4 instead of a 5.0 V8. It was also the first GA vehicle to feature power steering.

1960-1973 Neuron

The Neuron is GA’s family sedan. Available in 5 door sedan or 3 door coupe bodystyles with a 2.0 Inline 4 engine this is a lightweight, economical family car. The 2.0 4 Cylinder engine produces 63HP, which may not seem like much, but the car is very lightweight, weighing just 905KG in coupe form, and 930KG in sedan form.

1965-1968 Veratti Fastback

When Ford released the Mustang in 1964, Groves Automotive decided to create their own muscle car. The result was the 1965 Veratti Fastback. Powered by a naturally aspirated V8 producing 305HP in the RS model. With the Trans Am series starting up GA decided to build a homologation model. The result was the Veratti GR. It featured a race tuned 5.7 V8 producing 360HP and allowed Groves Automotive to finish 5th in the manufacture standings that year, with 2 race wins. It was thanks to this car the Groves’ motorsport division, Groves Racing, was created, and was tasked with creating racing versions of their normal cars for use in racing series across the globe.

2020 Vision Concept

The Groves Automotive 2020 Vision Concept is a glimpse to the future. Shown at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, this car uses the latest materials and production methods to create the ultimate luxury car. Under the hood is a twin turbo 6.0 V12 producing 950HP allowing this 4 door sedan to do 0-60 in 3 seconds and go on to a top speed of 210MPH. The exterior follows the current GA design language, incorporating the front fascia seen on all modern GA models. Inside the car features 2 heads up displays. One heads up display (where the gauges would normally be) shows current gear (and RPM), speed, average mpg and satellite navigation. In the centre console there is another display that shows vehicular systems and allows changes to the cars ECU, including power options (500-950HP), power distribution, suspension setup and much more. These changes can be saved and loaded up immediately when you start the car. 3 modes are set up as standard. Comfort sets the suspension to be higher and softer than normal and the engine produces 500HP. Sport has lower and stiffer suspension and the engine produces 700HP. Sport+ has the suspension at it’s lowest and stiffest settings and has the engine producing the max 950HP. It is expected that Groves Automotive will produce a luxury sedan, such as this, by 2020 but it may not have the power of this model, or the technological advancements.

There’s a bit of a problem with the G-series.
Galt automotive (owned by cpufreak101) probably wants to sue you right now.

2008-2014 Veritas

At the 2006 New York International Auto Show Groves Automotive unveiled the Veritas. The Veritas is the spiritual successor to the Veratti of 1965. The SS model is powered by a 6.2 OHV V8 producing 430HP and started production in 2008. In 2009 Groves Racing tuned it, putting a 7.2 V8 producing 565HP under the hood and was used as a homologation model for the GT2 car, which competed in the FIA GT series and American Le Mans series in the GT2 class, with little success.

2000-2009 Rachetta

In 2000 Groves Automotive set upon building their flagship supercar. The result was the Rachetta GT. It was powered by a 6.0 V12 producing 493HP, and did 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. However, other supercars of the time were fastly superior in performance so in 2003 the engine was retuned to produce 580HP, and the Rachetta Purist was also released. This car was RWD and was stripped of all of it’s driver assists. Then, in 2007, Groves Racing tuned the engine to create the 640R. They increased displacement up to 6.4 litres and tuned the engine so that it produced 640HP. The Rachetta also ran in several racing series such as the FIA GT Championship, and even won the FIA GT Championship in 2004.
