So, we’re about to embark on a big media push, we’ve got a lot of our own contacts, but just wondering if anyone else has any contacts in any gaming or automotive media, could you please PM me if so?
Edit by Killrob: The point of this is to have a proper joint press release about the game, in which carefully selected information is presented in a professional way. Thus, the contacts need to be given to Daffy to add to his list. Cheers!
Edit by Daffy: ^What Killrob says is what I was getting at
I suggest contacting Top Gear. Their magazine has many subscribers and I’m sure their audience would be interested in Automation. Every month they do a “Gear” section and sometimes they review games so it would be good to get on there or just advertise in there. This is Top Gear in the UK by the way.
I’m not sure if you will look for a publisher, but Paradox has really been publishing a lot of games. Off the top of my head: Naval War sim, Free-to-play Steampunk Civil War (Being made by ONE guy. He coded the rendering system in ONE night), Magicka.
Cool, thanks guys, we’re about to have something cool to send in (a new video), so please hold off on sending anything more until we can send them that
might want to ask this on the LFS forum if you havent already, Theres a memeber on there whos worked for a few game companies and could have a few contacts!
I would also contact the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America), they have a magazine they send out monthly to all their members, I’m sure a few of them would like to see this.
Even better would be SAE International, the Society of Automotive Engineers also sends out a monthy magazine and a weekly news letter to its members, and those people would really really love to hear about this game, not to mention you would get some industry giants attention.
Who hasn’t heard of them really They are awesome! Aaaand they had a vastly successful rockethub project… if the Automation rockethub thingy is 1/3 as sucessfull (relatively) we would have at least two very happy australians on these forums
