So, I was just tooling around, as I usually do, when I went to check up on one of my new models I’d created just tonight. Only when I got there, I received this strange error:
And then I discovered that most of the models I’d made…had simply vanished off the cars list(strangely, though, all my engines still seem to be there). And restarting the game hasn’t helped…I think it may have started, possibly, when I tried a fit an engine that was too big into another model(which is itself no longer accessible, unfortunately), but I’m not sure(Edit: btw, I tried deleting that engine; it didn’t do a thing!).
Can somebody please tell me what to do and how this can be fixed? I really don’t want to start all over again…
Did you recently update the game? That’s what seems to have happened. The newest release is incompatible with older car models, but it is compatible with newer ones. You just need to re-save the engine to help it fit.
It could also be that a model you built fucked up while saving and now throws an exception trying to populate the car manager list. Try to delete (or move) the last car model you built. You find them in Documents/Automation/Models
Nope, I’ve had the same update since I installed the game(Build 1418), and I’d also used one of the models that came with the game.
Thanks, Killrob! Worked like a charm.
Just as an aside, I notice you have PcTechHotline on your menu bar - it is something I would remove.
Yeah, Adwcleaner would take care of that.
