Hello! I am new to the forum and this game. I just recently bought it and immediately started playing in sandbox mode to see how much power I could get out of an engine. (Who wouldn’t). I just want to see what everyone else can get. Here are me stats:
INLINE 4: 809HP
INLINE 6: 1365HP
V8: 2763HP
Please share what you guys have gotten!
I think you are in the wrong section. -> Car sharing forum.
Next time you should start your topic in Engine Sharing forum. -> automationgame.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=34
~ I would ask a mod if he could move your topic to the right section.
EDIT: yay its moved
And , well. I’m not making these hyper-power engines. my most powerful one atm is a 840hp V8 .
This is my most powerful engine so far. I built it to try to compete in the fastest car thread. Others have built more powerful engines though.

This is my first attempt at max power.
662.3CI
3043hp @7600
2321ft\lbs@4600
Also have a more realistic 454
453.9CI
2722hp @7800
1875ft-lbs @7000
neither have any MTBF until you drop the Rev Limit below 6000.
There’s already a thread for the max power of an engine, but personally I wouldn’t mind a new one since most of the engines were done before a major update which drastically reduces the power output that you can get with a positive MTBF. Also, while the next major update probably wont change much with the engine it may fix a couple of bugs and therefore affect the engines. i also like the idea of looking for the most power of each engine type rather than max overall power
I’ll post in my better engines later, but for now here’s an I4 i made in the demo, so it hasnt got a turbo but it still chucks out 821bhp
I have only so far being working on V8 engines.
My most powerful so far, but i need more tweaks whit this engine. Im not done yet:
HP: 3631 at 7400 RPM
Torque 2687 ft-ib at 6700 RPM
I have also being working on a Engine whit one goal. A lot of torque at low RPM but still reliable.
1103 HP at 5500 RPM
Torque 2468 ft-ib at 1900 RPM
Holy BeJesus, how did you manage to squeeze 3000 hp out of that engine? I barely got 2000 horses out of my 10.9 liter engine, kept tweaking the fuel mixture and compression but can’t figure out a way to get more out of it
Skyline, you could get those engines a bit better if you set the year to 2020 I suspect that’s the main difference between your engine and my 3710bhp engine
ps. If a dev is floating around this part of the forum, could you explain why engines above a certain amount of power for their size seem to always get an MTBF of 0 despite all the individual parts saying they are perfectly happy (well they go slightly yellow because of the torque in the part stress diagram, but that shouldnt cause an mtbf of 0). i’m sure there’s a good reason for it, but I just cant work out what it is
Snipester
I have done it by try and fail.
Well setting for my engine is:

Thanks Reaper392
That help and whit some more tweak, This is the result:
Old 3631 HP and now 3673 HP
Torque old 2687 and now 2706
My low RPM torque engine got these:
Old 1103 Hp and now 1112 Hp
Torque old 2468 and now 2511
i dont know about all the sliders, but on my fastest one I used the dual overhead cam with 5 valves per cylender (and obviously no VVL). also, removing the cat converter might get you some more power
I have tried whit 5 valve and no converter. It dosent give any more power. It gives less power or just more polution. Im not sure. But it looks like my engine have hit i limits. I am also very happy whit 3673 horsepower
I notice you have a Magnesium block.
Try cast iron, keep cast iron head.
I have tried cast iron block, No more power. 3673 hp seems to be max for this engine
My previous record: 3636HP
The revised engine:
4000HP here I come!
I now more powerful engines have been posted including my self.
But it looks like my 3673 HP engine lost some horses after the newest update (version 1323) going from 3673 Down to 3637 HP. Have other same problem?
So have being working on both a flatplane and a crossplane V8 engine after the new update and resulted in 3637 and 3544 HP.
Some one must can do it better than that in the newest version of the game.
My results so far:
So i also got the Work done whit the inline 4 and 6 engines.
So here is the result of that.
Inline 4: 1963 HP and 1868 NM
Inline 6: 1976 HP and 3001 NM. But i wunder why i cant get more power out of it. Only 13 HP more than the inline 4 and the inline 6 has around 2.7 liters more capacety. So technically it shut be possible to get more power from it.
Now i so just need some new engine types to play whit…
The turbo of the Inline 6 is definitely not set up properly, either too small or too low A/R-ratio.
Any other setting of the turbo on the inline 6 results in less power?
Setting are Compressor 100.8 MM (Max), Turbine 81 MM , A/R ratio 1.40 and 3 bars boost. Any suggestion?
What ever i try or do. settings above gives the most power. The turbo is more or less as big it can get and A/R ratio is at max.
I tried it myself and you are right: The turbo cannot be made big enough to feed so much more capacity in comparison to the inline 4 engine. Basically you can only fit the same turbo on the inline 4 and the inline 6, so the resulting power output is nearly the same. A twin turbo setup would solve the issue, but we gotta wait for that to come. In addition to that, the exhaust is limiting heavily, too.
I´m glad we can agreed. And yes i need some twin or a bigger single turbo setup and dual exhaust. before that, no more power out of that inline 6.
We can just hope developers come up whit some thing like that later on in the game.
