Presenting Group Automation (Homologation), your company has decided to enter and must have a suitable production car with which to base the race car on. The rules are very strict for Group Automation, so your entry car must closely resemble the production car it is based on.

These are Homologation cars, not race cars. These are built under the guise of making the race cars legal for the production class.

Seems like a sweet competition! Any limitations of produced cars? (like Group B had 200 street cars to let the race car race)

I Like this competition, i’ll build a car for sure
Only one question about this:
Aero Options:
You are free to equip up to 1 lip per side.
OR you may equip 1 wing in the rear of the vehicle
Am i right that if you equip a rearwing, 0 lips at the complete car are allowed?

Quick rules check:
Aero Options:
You are free to equip up to 1 lip per side.
OR you may equip 1 wing in the rear of the vehicle
Does that mean that we must choose one of the following options?
[ul][li]No lips or wings.[/li]
[li]Front lip only, no wings.[/li]
[li]Rear lip only, no wings.[/li]
[li]Front and rear lips, no wings.[/li]
[li]No lips, rear wing.[/li][/ul]
…or would we be allowed:
[ul][li]Front lip only, rear wing.[/li][/ul]
?

Also, do you have an explicit rule in mind for “in the rear of the vehicle”? I’m imagining that it must be behind the rear windshield on a sedan or fastback or touching the rear edge of the roof on a hatchback, but if those are not the criteria you have in mind, clarification would be good.

Quick reply from work

Yes you may use the following setups with regard to lips/wings.

None
1 lip front/none back
None front/ 1 lip rear.
1 lip front / 1 lip rear.
None front / 1 wing anywhere on the back half of the car.

Will edit op when home

Thanks!

You can come up with whatever sales number you would like, but I would say aiming for a car which can produce at least 200 street sales would be a good thing to do.

3 out of 25 positions filled.

Sweet a contest that’s just starting, time for me to jump on board  (Hopefully I get everything right, first time)

Just a quickie… if you’re using L/100 km you need LESS THAN 13.067 L/100km

Good point, added L/100km so people who do not wish to do the math (or tell the game too) needn’t worry.

OP has been Edited with that, as well as adding a new image to help better showcase the file structure system.

My thanks go to Vic for supplying a perfect example.

We are at 5/25 entries received, with two pending revision.

Did not attach a car? Rofl yay for failing my first ever PM XD, Ill send it to you when I get home from work.

Worry not BeforeLifer! I made some ROFL worthy mistakes at first too (still do).

Beforlifer has passed inspection!

Introducing the new 1984 Honda CRX… err… SMC Outland! Featuring racing inspired wheels and dual fill caps with plenty of horses and a touch of comfort for an incredibly low price, it can be yours today.

Presenting the 1984 Bogliq Bastion Group A!!!

Due to the egalitarian nature of Bogliq Automotive, the homologation version of Bastion is not limited by production numbers but rather the customers wallet. Unfortunately no-one was very rich in Moldova in 1984 so the required units to homologate this model were sold to the Moldovan border patrol at cost. In an entirely unrelated co-incidence, 1984 was a terrible year for law enforcement, with defection rates soaring and an increased number of officers injured in single car accidents. :geek:  :geek:

I like the fluff HighOctane!. Submission passed inspection.

Rennen is entering with their newest generation of the Angelus. The specific model is a special homologation version, named the Angelus GAR, or Group A Racer.

Rennen has been in motorsport for years; our designs reflect our engineering in racing. With a high-revving 2.8 liter straight-6 engine producing 227 HP, the Angelus does not fail in power nor fun. With the latest high-tech technology in engine design, suspension tuning, and chassis tuning, the 4-door supercar has begun to rise.

Also competing with the Rennen Angelus in the large 4-door category is the Suzume Kyoto. The motor is the product of collaboration between Suzume and Ardents’ engineering departments, as Suzume had not yet developed a V8 by the early 80’s, having concentrated heavily on their Ishi-series sixes. The resulting special-edition motor was technically an Antares-series, as the particular line had long served as a test bed for technology for the venerable American company. But the AD8-SSDC showed more Ardent frugality than Suzume thrill. As such, the 2.8 liter V8 was outclassed by Rennen, putting out only 197 horsepower.

This motor found its way into a special trim of the Kyoto, the GS-RX. Though the intent was homologation, Suzume didn’t stop at the minimum production numbers, as they viewed this trim more as a special edition production model. As such, 8000 GS-RX’es were built for the 1984 model year alone. No automatic version was available*, but about half of the 3000 GS-RX units sent to the US were built with the “Power Preferred Group” option package, which added air conditioning, cruise control, and power lock and windows.

*Refers only to the GS-RX trim. The IA6-A powered GS trim came standard with a 3-speed auto, which was also optional on the base G trim.
