Do you mean like vents and lights being only one sided, or switchable like the exhaust tips? Because hell, that’s a wonderful idea.
Now I want to know where we are with this… I can’t imagine it would be to hard a thing to change, but I’m no programmer.
Yea, I’d love to be able to make Peugeot hoods and Lambo vents.
No idea about lambo vents, but I’ve been wanting offset grills (made from vents) since the outset… Peugeot hoods…? Like a scoop/vent on only one side? That’s genius, we need this.

Go look at early Murcialago’s. They only have one vent in front of the rear wheels.
Shouldn’t be too hard to do considering the exhausts already having that feature, it just would be very low on our ToDo list. 
Well kick it up some notches, please! I get that it doesn’t add anything to core gameplay, but assuming it’s a quick enough fix, it will add a TON to our creativity and customization of the models.
Maybe we’ll pitch in and buy the office some pastries, you never know. 
I mainly see this being useful for vents, and that’d probably be the quickest implementation. What would be nice and more complicated is giving central fixtures (hood scoops, grills, etc) the option of being placed like vents without necessarily changing where they’re allowed to be placed. So having 2 hood scoops, with the option of only one on one side like the exhaust.
More complicated would also be the option of dual fixtures, like vents and lights, being placed in the middle. Not sure how possible this is, but that when they cross over the central axis, whatever crosses over disappears so that the outer half of both sides merge in the middle. This would be useful for third brake lights and full width headlights and taillights. Using vents this way would also give much more options for grills (and grills with my previous suggestion giving more front and rear vent options).
