1995 Sedo Spire GT-X Revoz S-spec “Beast”

Oh boy, I haven’t posted here in over half a year! And I have a few cars that could be posted here. This will be a quick, short post, since I just have this one variant and didn’t really think much of the other ones. Basically it’s what I pictured listening to this song:

Good stuff, power metal mixed with eurobeat. Anyway, back to the car.

This is the first Sedo published here, but not the first I’ve made - in fact some of my first Automation cars were Sedos (or rather Sedojisas as the brand was called back then). It’s my go-to Japanese brand for which I never really had any interesting idea, so I never developed it. Actually Aureon mentioned before is supposed to be Sedo’s premium/luxury branch.

The Spire is basically Skyline - JDM more or less premium model, back in the 90s still in the Japanese “compact” class, at least in the 2-litre variants. Spire GT is the coupe, GT-X is the performance AWD coupe. Revoz is sth I thought sounded enough like a Japanese tuner name, S-spec is the “street” tuning spec, “Beast” is the nickname of this specific variant, as it…

…is powered by a 3.0 turbo I6, producing 670 hp and 796 Nm of torque. All thanks to 1.6 bar of boost and 30 valves with dual VVT. Then, all that power is transfered through a 6-speed sequential gearbox, and a helical AWD system splitting it in 35% to the front wheels and 65% to the rear ones. Of course the wheels have semi-slick tyres, what else did you think?

The effect is 2,35 second 0-100 time and a 357 km/h top speed, thanks in no small part to active aero. As you may have already guessed, this car is packed with technology (at least for 1995) - aside from what’s been already mentioned, it also has variable power steering, active springs with semi-active dampers and ESC. Basically almost everything that was available.

And, uhh, that’s all I think? It’s probably the best “hard thrashing” vehicle I’ve driven in Beam - crazy fast, a bit wild when you want it to, but also surprisingly controllable. You can try it if you want:

That’s all, folks!
