Hubert's Hunks of Junk

Hello, In this thread I want to showcase cars I made in the last few years of playing Automation. Most of the cars I make are 80s and 90s shitboxes, hence the name.

Anyways, here are the brands you’ll see the most in this thread:

  • Automobiles Charmand - established in 1909 in France, known for it’s futuristic approach for making vehicles (basically Renault with extra steps).

  • Omori Motor Company - established in 1934 in Japan, focuses on making simple, reliable cars, bought out Koyoko Industries Ltd. in 1964.

  • Koyoko Industries Ltd. - established in 1948 in Japan, prior to being bought out by Omori made light trucks and farming equipment, after 1964 entered passenger car market.

  • VEB Automobilwerke Dresden - founded in 1946 in GDR, known for it’s usage of old pants and glue in bodywork construction. Closed in 1990 due to the reunification of Germany, its factories in Dresden and Freiberg were bought by Rückwardt AG.

Some brands that are not going to show up here often:

  • Rückwardt AG (1946 - now, Germany)
  • Koryo Heavy Industries Ltd. (1969 - now, South Korea)
  • Sterling Motor Company (1913, USA)
  • Wilson Motor Company (1905, USA)
  • Wilson Automobilwerke Deutschland GmbH (1929, Germany)

It’s my first time making a thread on the forums so any help is welcome

This one has a whiff of 106/306 about it - although I’d prefer the 16 Soupapes (French for 16 Valves) to come in a 3-door version as well.

I’ve done most trim levels also in 3 door version, but I don’t have photos of them.

I see you took Charmand from BeamNG lore

I thought it would be neat to remake the Charmand 1104 in some way.

Charmand 3000 Series (1987 - 1996)

Developed since 1984, 3000 Series was to replace aging 1978 second generation 3000 Series. The car was developed from ground up with help of computers, first car in Charmand lineup to use such technological advancements. The car was well received by automotive press, won Car Of The Year title in 1988. Engine range started at well known 1.4 litre TN Series engine and finished at a turbocharged 2.2 litre NP Series engine co-developed with Sterling, the most powerful engine of all, pushing out 202 horsepower.
