International Endurace Championship (Nominations Race 5 - 28/08/2016)

Ok, finally back home, i will maybe manage to make a class 2 car
why does the izen E1-11 have so small tyres?

just a quick suggestion, but it might be too late
the driver factor takes into account 50000 which is half of the maximum 100000 in class 1, but class 2 has only a 70000 budget, shouldnt the amount in the equation be 35000? because this makes for some very bad drivers in class 2

I did consider the class 2 driver budget an came up with thought that a class 2 team would probably have to settle for a generraly lower calliber of driver the same as the P2 section in the lemans series

yeah, that makes sense, thanks

Ravencraft presents the R-325 (Dius GTR)
this car is a race version of the Dius hatchback and was developed for the class 2.
It should do nicely in its class, the main drawback beign the drivers, who are only young 18 year old boys, not yet ready for world class competition. The low production costs coming from the fact that the Dius is a mass produced vehicle and the GTR has many shared parts allows the Class 2 team to field 3 cars. To mentor the young boys, the team hired an old finish driver, who ate up the most of the driver budget.
It has a 2 liter trubocharged engine producing almost 520hp and weights less than 950 kilos.

Team Name: Ravencraft Racing Beta
Car Name: R-325
Car Brand Name: Dius GTR
Engine Name: IEC 2000cc Turbo

along with the entry of the Dius, the A team made some final tweeks to the R-412, the main thing beign the tire change so that we wont spend more time in pits than outside.

right, i know iā€™m super late, but i would like to enter my car for the remaining rounds. itā€™s about distance over brute power. itā€™s for Class 2.

i will post the exported files to see if it passes scrutineering

Itā€™s finally here! Good luck everybody

so if i understand the spreadsheet for race one correctly (maybe do a small write up of you have the time @gilb0140 ) i got a one two in class one and a third place in class 2. i dont think all races will go this good for me but for now it feels good to be in the leed. now for a bit of roleplay, ahem ahem

Izen Motors are very proud of the results that the team brought home from silverstone this last race. 3 podium finishes over both classes is a good way to start the season. But that being said it is never fun as a driver to retire the car but when it happens on the last lap of a 6 hour race it hurts that much more. we hope the this will not will not happen again to any of our cars like it did to the number 12. all focus is now on the 12 hour race in bathurst. most of the equipment is already packed onto planes and on there way there. see you there.

just for further reference, my manufacturer and engine is under the JHW banner, not my steam name if thats cool.

ok so I can change a few reliability settings and send the cars back to you? That would be awesome This challenge of yours is really quite good fantastic actually. And I think I may wish to borrow you at some stage sir to setup a NASCAR race?

Let me just say race 2 is going to be a DSD affair with 5 cars runningā€¦at the back of the pack

Results for race 2 are posted and I will write a race report for the first 2 races over the weekend. There will be a week break before the second third of the season comences

iā€™m glad that I won, but something doesnā€™t add up to me. My car is only 0.8 sec/laps faster that Izenā€™s (before simulation). But I made 9 pit stops more than him. My pitstop are 40+0.2x50.55 liters = 50 seconds / pit stop. => 450 seconds. The race was only 301 laps long = > I had to recover an average of 1.5 seconds/lap. Is my car that much more consistent than his?

you have to bear in mind tire ear and fuel weight too, and the driver factor

Like i said in my intro of the cars my class one cars are almost undriveable. Adding to that i did not spend much on drivers so i think that is why you won. On a diffrent note i will write some in fiktion stuff over the weekend

As promised a bit of in character stuff.

Izen motors are happy with the teams results at the 12 hour race at bathurst.
Another double podium in class one is awesome but it seems a new challenger has entered the fray. We for one welcome the challenge and look forward for the future battles.
Now for a bit of bad news. we can confirm that the reason the number 3 has been retired from both races so far is a gearbox failure. it seems to start in 3rd gear and if we keep going we lose that gear and the rest soon follow.
The lack of raw pace in class two is being addressed at the factory and since we are based out of Denmark we can not get the parts and software updates to japan in time, so the update will be introduced ahead of the 24 hour race at la sarthe

iā€™m making some major lineup revisionsā€¦
