Welcome to IronHill Classic Tuning!
What is IronHill Classic Tuning?
IronHill was founded in 2014 by automotive engineer Jeff Leonard and ever since has had a mission to modify classic cars in whatever way possible, just as the customer requests! Named after the town of IronHill, Wyoming, we are proud to serve you as you wish!
Alright, what kind of things can you do?
We offer 2 major services regarding classic cars. By classic cars, we mean any car from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Although we cannot make the cars, we can sure modify them and tune them to fit your needs! Here are the 2 services we provide:
- Modernization
- Limit Testing Tuning
That sounds good and all, but what do those mean?
Firstly, Modernization is updating a classic car with modern elements. Our goal is to update elements of the car while still keeping the “spirit” of the car in place. It may be updated, but it should still be recognizable. In other words, comfort, performance and even design (if requested) are updated to modern specifications. Here are the services that are available through modernization (Note that each kind of service will vary in price and may not be feasible, depending on the car):
- Interior (Increase in quality, electronics)
- Suspension (Suspension type and systems)
- Styling (Fixtures, contours of the car)
- Chassis (Chassis type and materials)
- Drivetrain (Transmission and engine work)
The second type of tuning is quite different. Limit Testing Tuning (LTT) is a complete rework to achieve a maximum of whatever such goal the customer wants. For instance, we can make a 40s sedan a track car with a complete rework if asked. LTT is much more expensive and time consuming than Modernization, since it requires the best of the best to fully achieve the goal. LTT is not only used for sports, but can be used for luxury and technology as well. We can make a 70s economy car into a modern luxury car packed with technology, if required. Every element of the car is reworked if needed, with only the same basic design and principles in common. LTT really is pushing the company to our limits, as well as the car’s limits!
So how do I sign up?
Here at IronHill, we will be with you every step of the way. Because of this, it may take a while to complete an order, but it will be worth it! It starts with a simple signup sheet (In other words, PM me with this topic link and the following form);
Original car (And .car file):
Request (Modernization or LTT and what elements to focus on, should the styling be touched/modernized):
Additional Info to know (Lore, backstory, etc):
May we use this project in our advertising? (Forum topic, etc.):
The Request can be as vague or in detail as you like (Though the latter will be more helpful!), we will keep you updated and ask for your feedback as we work on the car. If you have any questions, feel free to ask below or in the PM!
