Are we allowed to use MPV version of a van body? I’d like to keep the side windows without having to do extensive bumper bar and patchwork work. I’m using the Hiace body.

Guys I think I have an idea

Mpv is really just a euro term for a passenger van, it should be fine

“misc paint 1” is windows even on the full van variant of that particular body. However i can’t see the harm in allowing mpv body variants.

Does this mean the car has to have exactly 3 seats or does that mean 3 seats maximum?

Please let it be a maximum, I just realized I overlooked that rule…

This is exactly the reason why I’m asking, I want to build something like that

Yeah tbh it did originally mean just 3 seats as that’s how all the van conversions are setup in europe. But I can see that is unreasonable for pickup based vehicles so I’ll change it to “just use the front row”

This opens tomorrow and at that point I will be on an aeroplane to Spain so does anyone have any issues or questions while I can still open the game?

The rule changes that have occured in the last week are:

  • Mpv bodies now allowed
  • Seating arrangements are a bit more relaxed
  • After discussion on discord interiors (especially the motorhome area) are now a judging criteria.
  • Added a week to the deadline to make up for having to make interiors

One thought I had as starting work on a base vehicle: maybe there should be some sort of rule that the base body should be made to match the size of the final vehicle as much as possible? For example, if you’re going to cutaway most of the body, you still have to stretch the body dimensions as much as possible to match the size of whatever you put in its place. Otherwise, someone might be able to have a small vehicle, get stat bonuses for things like fuel economy and drivability, and then be able to build something large with 3D fixtures that is much larger than the base vehicle used to calculate stats.

Yeah that’s definitely a fair point. No making the car a lot bigger in 3d. I’ll add that into the actual rules.

Does anyone want to design my vehicle? I have it engineered I just don’t feel like making an interior

1985 Waddser Europe

Waddser is a french manufacturer founded in 1957. After their generic successes from the 60s and 70s, Waddser began aiming to other markets. 1984 saw a whole range of utility vehicles, with a van, an MPV, an offroad SUV and the Io, a compact offroad utility truck.

The Io features a partial monocoque chassis, independant front suspension, a reliable and economic 2,6L inline 4 coupled to a 4x4 drivetrain with manual locker, all terrain tyres, vented front discs, an offroad skidtray, a cassette player and an advanced safety package.

In 1985, Waddser releases a custom recreational vehicle based on the Io : the Europe

It features a custom habitable rear upfit with a bed in a cabover, table and seats, a floor activated sink,

a shower, a folding toilet seat, numerous storage compartments including a cool box, coat hooks,

a mechanical ventilation system, hard long life road tyres, numerous side windows and a ceiling window.

The lack of indoor stove has been adressed by Waddser offering a high-quality portable gas camping stove to any buyer of the Europe.

Available as import in any Universal Motors dealership in the US for only $ 15 600 !*

*Import taxes may be applicable

Sorry my interior photos are shit, I’ll see if I find the time to do better

A week left for anyone building an entry. If you’re yet to start but want to enter I wouldn’t leave it too long now

Deadline feels a bit unclear to me, do I have to send the entry in tonight or can I send it tomorrow?

The 7th is the deadline. So you have two days left not today.

I’ll add an actual countdown but basically it’s going to be until the end of the 7th wherever that is latest in the world. I think maybe Hawaii?
