With this JOC being set in a temperate climate, and themed around a higher-priced segment, how important, if at all, would environmental resistance be, as would prestige?

FWIW, British Columbia has a major rust problem from road salt. Vancouver, particularly the north part of the city, definitely has some hoity-toity snobbery to appeal to (or ignore).

What road salt? Vancouver has some of the least rusty cars in Canada due to being in pretty much the only part of the country that doesn’t get a real winter. It’s mostly just rain with the rare snowfall/icy conditions.

from what i gather, the city suposedly salts roads, but only when necessary and according to a couple of reddit posts not even that. i’ll add env. resistance as a pretty low priority since it doesn’t seem like a prolonged yearly occurence. i’ll also add prestige at the same level of priority.

True, and if the car never leaves the city in the winter, a reasonable non-issue. The rest of the province is pretty brutal to exposed steel, though.

Another suggestion: what about legacy body sets? I’m in favor of prohibiting their use, given that many of them are quite janky.

Given how broken cargo volume is, I would disregard Practicality as a stat outright, instead judge that factor holistically.

And what about aero fixture/downforce limits? Do they make sense here, and if so, how much? In any case, one lip at the front (and possibly another at the rear), plus a wing or spoiler at the rear should suffice.

Four door coupes are allowed so that people can use the Charger body, which is classified as such. As for the wheelbase, it’s already a pretty ample range and goes quite high.

The wheelbase range (between 2.75m and 3.00m inclusive) is sufficiently generous, but what about a size range? An overall length of 4.5m to 5.0m should be in the ballpark - but I don’t think explicit length limits make sense here, given that the wheelbase limits are sufficiently effective by themselves.

Also, the requirement for having six, eight, or ten cylinders is fully justified - any more than ten and you’d risk stepping on the toes of full-on luxury flagships (which are too expensive to be within the scope of this challenge); any fewer than six and you’d be better off vying for sales against sport compacts in the class below (which is too cheap for Henry’s wallet by comparison).

The last time I did a length range people didn’t like it so I won’t.
As for changing wheelbase with ATS, I’ll limit it to only 5 centimetres either plus or minus.

Also, I’m sure the loudness cap of 55 applies even if bypass valves are fitted.
