I had a score of 2012 and after I saw this thread, I went back and tried to improve on it. I’m actually not even sure what I did differently, but I stumbled onto this score. 
I got 2171 too. The key was to slide exhaust technology year to 1940, then test, and after that put it back to 1995 and test again.
Really? Hehe. That’s a bug then and not something we did. 
If true, that is a bug indeed. There is a similar one which does the opposite of helping you xD
Hmmm, I tried a variation of that in the ‘flying debris’ one (except I actually put them all back to 1940 and then tested) I lost 50% of the power and about 200 mrev off life and haven’t been able to get them back!

Jupp, known issue since a long time, and yes, we need to fix that. It requires a restart of the scenario to make it possible to complete after doing that.
My new high score now with Build 1003 is 2245 with 122 horsepower.

The taxi is the only one I’ve managed to do. Everything else is just… Not happening. Can get everything, but can’t figure out how to raise the MTBF
Just make sure to read the descriptions and the tutorial hints, that should get you going pretty well.
So if you tell us, how you managed to change man hours and total cost in that scenario, we could understand where the points come from. The scenario should not let you change any part.
