KOH pretesting

So I am working on a complicated race based on the King of the Hammers race.

youtube.com/watch?v=W18ZZsQbc7o

What I need are submissions to test against the calculator.

very high weight Sportiness, Drivability, Off-Road
Moderate weight Comfort (the driver will drive as hard as they can without peeing blood later)

Basics
Tech year 2016
Advanced safety +5 quality
Any Vanilla or Steam body
$30,000 cost on the overview page

These “rules” wont be hard set at this point so feel free to submit whatever you want (actually please do)

Submissions
Model: KOHT username
Trim : (your choice)
Engine Family: KOHT username
Variant: (your choice)

You can submit as many as you want, I will give feedback as to how each submission did publicly.

Current feedback,
I made a sedan for the efficient future contest (not quite done), it took it 3:19:20.17 seconds to complete the 14.95 mile track
A truck I threw together did it in 2:19:48.92 which shows I still need to tweak it but its also meant to be tough.

So you’re basically looking for stats like these?

I should also mention that the cars get damaged in each section which affects the stats and how it does on the next section. (still needs the most revision)

Pretty much.

What is the engine reliability at, as well as the quality slider for the tires and wheels, body, frame, and suspension
And its top speed

from what I can see there and just filling in the blanks.

1:05:22.99

That’s not my submission, just an offroad supercar I made that seems to fit what you’re looking for. 2:22 on the Automation track at half your max cost. Wheels and suspension are at +2, body at 0, frame at +2. Engine reliability is 69.2. 0-100 km/h is 6.5 seconds (compromised that for increased offroad capability) and top speed is 345.3 km/h (214.6 mph).

oh soo like AMWEC but off road and the last race results will effects the next?

also deadline?
maybe not a hard limit since this is still a test, right? (please cmiiw)
like “preferably within the next week”?

I might be interested. But clarify please, I’ve looked on the internet briefly, and I cannot quite place whether this is a baja or a rock crawling competition

Koolkei: no hard limit or deadline at this point, just working out the bugs.
The track has 10 parts similar to banhammer head, the slingshot, Bavarian bend on the Automation test track for a total of 14.95 miles each section beats up the vehicle at least a little bit.

Carkiver: I didn’t figure it was, but since it was there I thought I would run the numbers to see how it came out.

Squidhead: Its both.

Ok! Gotcha! And we may submit our cars whenever, rules are finalized. Will there be a pre-season test race? A few shakedown runs would be nice.

Were doing the shakedown/bug testing now, I need to tweak things on my end for sure but need a bunch of different submissions and approaches to make sure its all working properly.

I’ll submit the Velociraptor for your bug testing, not as an official submission. There’s a 2016 trim on it that costs a lot more than what you specify (with 0 comfort), so up to you if you want to try that as well.

Ouch, I think your driver already quit, some kind of comfort is necessary.

Yeah, I threw that one together as a concept  An offroader as fast as a Bugatti Veyron…

maybe more like this?
this is a quick and dirty revision for the vition that i entered on the car shopping challenge a couple of rounds ago

Changes:
Fixed cars getting torn up too much
Changed the dependence on off road to a non linear function (off-road is now much more of a factor in the technical ie rock crawling sections)
If the car is driver limited it will now take less damage instead of more

Carlover: The ATX spun out while driving it through the pits, the driver checked himself into medical. A short time later the car was found burning with an empty gas can next to it.
The SSM 2:18:21.38

KoolKei: without seeing the rest I just threw in some numbers 1:15:43.85

Squidhead: having troubles loading yours, I don’t seem to have the body. Do you know which one it was or who made it?

It should be 00s Luxury SUV by the car lover. It’s in the workshop

Ok, I’ve built a massively evil beast of a thing and there’s still 10k to spare. I believe that for the next time a stricter reglament should be implemented.
I’m just not sure if restricting it to 275kph is a good thing, but I went for the idea of “nobody does 340+ on sand and gravel”

The workshop doesn’t like me much but I found it.

It might help to see how I am doing things

If the section has a time it uses otherwise it is based off of max speed and distance. That divided by whatever comes out as the limiting factor (under the %).

The section in red is the base damage that section does to each of the parts.

The section in blue is how your car did, the damage multiplier and how many points each part still has at the end of each of the track sections.
The average is basically how much car you have left

The group below has the cars stats from the beginning to the end, as well as how much damage each part can take.

Note: The body damage actually is not factored in the calculations, I am using it as a guide as to how ragged your car looks at the end of the race.

now a question.

will turbo and altitude matters?
like irl the higher you go, the less dense the air are, also means less power afaik.
this is somewhat alleviated if you have turbos.

are you calculating this? or are you not calculating engine power?
