Komodo Powers - the Initial startup, and the Backbone

since before Komodo Motors was released in 1946, most of our guys are much more experienced with the engines rather than the whole car. and even to the modern day, it is still our Backbone and still our pride and joy.

using advanced technology and good engineering, with dedicated staff driven with passions and dreams, we want to spread our passion around, and give a chance to everyone, to experience and Komodo Goodness.

so in 1950, we made a subdivision to sell our engines to be used in other cars other than our Komodo cars.

and not just being sold to other businesses, we are also selling it to the public, albeit with a different price and procedure.

Originally made by scrapping part together from the war surplus parts in 1945, but by 1950 the engine had been revisioned enough to not need any surplus parts and is sustainable to be built for a longer amount of time. but it is still an engine meant for the lower middle class cars for the japanese market post-war. economic, cheap parts, and easy to build with basic tooling.

in 2.2L it’s the smallest engine size in the family for full sized (japan) / small sized (west) pickup trucks. and although with some weight disadvantages, it could also be used as a budget sports car powerplant.
