Krankshaft Streben tehnikall (KST) - Brilliant Cars since 1959

This is Krankshaft Streben tehnikall (KST). A car company making cars from early 1959 to 2019 featuring car variety like from sport i4 roadsters to crazy v12 coupes all cars have been made to the best car standards for they’re class, wich varies alot. Here i’m going to upload all cars that KST has made so far.

Let’s start with the first car produce by KST:

It’s Called the KST.It was the first car built from the german company.t was supposed to be a competetor to the vw beetle, and it succeded.

More cars to come!(and images, since im new to here)(Hopefully this gets some attention.)

Any technical specs on that car?

It’s a 800cc I4 with around 60 HP and same with torque it revs to 4500 rpm’s only but it’s the most reliable engine of all my cars(surprisingly). Here is a picture of the engine:

Reminds me of my Petoskey Ace. A rear engined car with as small an engine as I could make. A 32 cubic inch (about 500cc) making around twenty horsepower.

Now It’s 1961. The original KST IS only going for 3 more years on the market so KST had to come up with a new car. So the Scenicson was born. It’s Germanys first v8 to make over 130HP without having reliability issues.

The engine is a 2.5L V8 Making 152 HP and 205 Nm of torque. The car was a major success from it’s first day on the market

The car went for $135.8K and it was quite an expense at the time.

1964 has come. Fans were constatly asking for a limited edition car, so KST Made the mangler.
Limited to just 500 units, 250 V8’s and 250 V12’s the car is a jewel now a days, because only 134 are on the road of which 50 are V12’s and 84 are V8’s.The car had as i said a V8 and a V12 configs

Let’s start with the V8 first:

It was the first config to appear with the V12 appearing a few months later. The car was offering 364Hp and 472Nm of torque:

It costed $152.7 K Mainly because it’s a limited car

Now let’s get into the V12:

This one had 400Hp and 518 Nm of torque

This one was sold for $170.1 K And it was more expensive which meant that some were given away to some lucky people

The cars became an icon for peerformance in the 60’s and they were one of the rarest supercars ever.

That’s it for today.

Very interesting front-end design there. Puts in mind of some of the more ‘futuristic’ looking cars of the 60s like the Miura and the Lotus Elan.

And that’s some impressive engine stats there. Did you not consider increasing the rev limit in exchange for reliability so that you’d have a little more of a powerband? Reliability was generally much lower back in the 60s anyway.

In terms of reliabilaty i really did not think of the rev limit because i wanted to keep the reliabilaty decent.

When 1965 came KSt Had almost no ideas for a car, So they decide to make a muscle car called the Guardian Leadsled.Even tho it looks like a muscle car it was more of a supercar at the time mainly because of it’s price tag. Here are some pics:

It had a massive 5.5L V8 but it only made 320 HP, wich was sort of a lot for a muscle car.

It was very expensive wich is why it’s not considered a muscle car.

More of the company’s history is coming soon.

Considering power measures in automation are NET, it means the Guardian would be advertised with somewhere around 400hp gross, a lot for a muscle car in that time :stuck_out_tongue:

Wait, what? How can gross hp be bigger than net? Shouldn’t gross number include all the drivetrain and other stuff losses?

My mistake, I always confuse both therms, but you know what I meant xD

EDIT: little research, GROSS hp is the power of the engine without the waterpump, radiator fan, alternator, muffler or even air filter (apparently) in perfect conditions, while NET includes all those belt driven or power sucking accesories. Net power can be measured at the crank (bhp) or at the wheels.

@Oskiinus Yes, but on GROSS rating, which is roughly 20-25% higher than NET

320 hp? A lot for muscle car?
NASCAR homologation cars could push 350-400ish hp on street variant

Those were often 7L engines so this pretty good for being a 5.5L

Yeah, you’re right. 69 Nova SS had ~450 hp to my knowledge but it was 7.6 L

In 1969 KST waanted to make a pickup truck so they made the infamos Leonardo. It was a great seller for a pickup truck and it’s recognised when seen on roads.

It had a “Heavy duty” V8 with 229 BHP and 373NM of torque.

No price will be shown from now on because i don’t find it neccecary.

More is comming soon!
