Loading screen freezing

I was running the game ok yesterday but now when I try to load it, I get to a certain point in the loading screen when it freezes.

I tried to screenshot the stage but it appears to have been disabled but the engine in the loading screen is at the stage without valve covers but with the cylinder heads. Is there any way to get past this stage again without it freezing.

OS: Windows 7
Graphics: Nvidia GT 340
Ram: 4GB (2+2)
Processor: Intel I5 650

Thanks,
LH.

Mine has started doing this recently as well. If you give it like 5 minutes or so it comes back to life. It freezes just before the valve cover appears on the engine, right?

Yes, but it doesn’t do anything at all even if you wait. I also noticed when it was working that I couldn’t get into the career mode or the tab below.

There is neither a campaign or multiplayer yet, so you should not be able to get into the upper two options.

I have seen long waiting times of up to 30 seconds on high-end desktops… so if you run it on a somewhat weaker laptop, I can imagine it could be taking many minutes before it continues (before the rocker cover gets put on).

I am using an Acer Predator G5900 which is a high end desktop/low end gaming. It loaded in about 1 minute when I got the game a few days ago but won’t load properly anymore.

i have same problem, it´s freeze to me at loading screen (around 30 seconds) and at the engine designer when selecting various parts(a few seconds, 5 more or less).

I have:

CPU…Intel core i5-2500K - 3300 ghz
RAM…16GB (4x4gb)
OS…Windows 8 Pro x64 WMC
Motherboard…ASUS P8Z68-V
Graphics…ASUS Nvidia GeForce GTX560 Ti DirectCU 2
…XFX Nvidia GeForce GTS8800-Ultra 512mb(only PhysX)

We’ll be looking into this one for the next patch (there are a few other bugs we need to fix too)

Thanks.

Can you send me the Engines and Scenario’s folder in My documents\Automation in a zip to caswal@camshaftsoftware.com

That might help us determine the problem.

Any solution to this yet? emailed all requested info, I appreciate you guys do this in your spare time but I cant bear the thought of Christmas TV in the UK ! Please help , I’m starting to fade away…

Nope, no luck yet. I’ll chase it up with Zeussy in the morning.

In the meantime if you try moving your saved engines out of their folder (documents/automation/engines) you might find that it works for now.

Tried that, no joy, perhaps once sorted I should get a Beta testable forced induction file update as compo ? :stuck_out_tongue:

You would not have much fun with it, believe me.

I have installed patch 162 but it is still crashing in the same place, I also updated the graphics card and ram but it hasn’t changed.
Is there any other way to get it to work?

Thanks,
LH.

I’ll check with Zeussy again today and see what else he suggests.
