We have almost finished the auto patcher and launcher for the game as well as the upcoming beta.
The launcher will use your forum username and password to authenticate and play the game. This is the ground work for the system that will allow you to purchase the game. The system we are planning allows you to purchase a key, which you can either use yourself or give to a friend. This allows us to easily add discounted 4 key packs that can be shared amongst friends (yay!).
I now have my scary to do list for beta, with High, Medium and Low Priority items. Thank you for all the beta applications so far. The first round of testers should hear back from us by the end of this week, as long as the above changes go live smoothly. If you don't hear back from us, don't get too disheartened, we still have your details on record and there is always next time.
It is a pretty exciting time for us, to finally give something out to you guys, even if it is only a small group initially. I hope the response is a positive one and dread the idea that it be a wave of disappointment.
