Most economic engine?

Hey guys. I have made a couple of engines, the one that has the best economy weights around 850 kg, a lightweight. The engine is a 1.6 NA engine, with 241 hp. It uses 5.75 litres /100 km.

I then tried making a 1.2 liter with turbo and 105 hp, the car here ended up weighing 1200 kg ±, and going 5.9 liters / 100 km.

How far down have you been? The first of mine is ofcourse without any extra equipment etc.

i get 3.34 liter/100km.the engine is 1.5 liter and the car weight just under 1000kg.

I’m currently getting 2.26 l /100 km.

I have now managed a 2,8 L/100 km car. With a total weight of 600 kg.
Still NA, should be possible to get lower with turbo?

It’s not that hard at all to get over 100 MPG.

Is your car still affordable, and not just bumped all up in quality all over? :unamused:

i just went for maximum engine quality and minimum weight and i got around 1,4l/100km
it had a 20v 400cc i4 with 40 bhp the cars weight was around 500kg

My car wasn’t using any quality sliders.

Max I can get now is 1.78l / 100km (132 MPG), can’t be bothered trying to make it better after this

There’s already a topic for this guys: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=2694

They seem to be doing car economy not just engine, I’d say just have iy transfered to car design.

right now i’m getting 2.04 lt/100km

With 0 quality sliders, 0.2l/100km (is a bug: when you create a engine with a efficiency of 0.xx-1.xx% with low power (for example, knocking the engine), you can had this values.

thanks for sahre dude
nice work
