Most Wanted - A Design-Based Community Challenge

The year is 2005 in Fairhaven, you are trying to make your way to the top of the list and part of the way you want to do that is to brag about your car. If you would like, you may make a in-depth post about its details, how fast it is, who drives it, etc. it won’t help with the score, but it could be fun.

HOW IT WORKS

This challenge is very simple, whichever car has the most votes in a poll at the end of the challenge will win. There will be 5 position podium, and whoever gets first will be named ‘Most Wanted’. Only One car entry per person.

THE RULES

All cars must be from 1960-2005 Design wise. The power, wheelbase, ETC won’t matter for this since it is all design oriented.

The cars MUST be categorized when posting as if they were being viewed in game (Exotic, Muscle, Sports, ETC) For example ‘1967 Camaro - Muscle’.

The cars must have headlights, taillights, blinkers and mirrors.

PLEASE NO HEAVY MACHINERY. As funny as it would be to rice out a harvester or semi-truck it is not the goal of this challenge. You will be disqualified if you post anything that looks like it belongs on a farm. (Civilian trucks like f-150’s are fine)

The posted cars should be tuned as if they were from NFS most wanted, and if you like you are welcome to post the stock version of the car but the likes of the tuned car are going to be counted and not the stock version.

No meme cars. Meme cars will be an instant DQ. Meme car = purposefully badly made car.

The cars must actually look like a car. Please no open wheel cars, or cars that look like a roll cage.

Interior is not required for this challenge but, it will likely help you with the end results.

So the only thing determining placings is the number of likes for each post on a specific car? I’ve never seen that before…

winning by the amount of likes? thats really weird…

Winning by likes seems quite unbalanced as meme builds can often get just as many likes, if not more likes than actual entries.

And also, early entries gets more likes than late ones because of the time aspect…

I can see the idea behind wanting to include the community in the judging, but I think that a poll at the end of the challenge is a better idea.

Plus there are some people who don’t get many likes at all even if the car looks really good

I will also throw in a couple cents here. Now, this point will be mitigated by the community already knowing how judging will be scored, BUT…

I have always been rather liberal with my likes, and I like entries that show genuine effort, not necessarily great looks. I have always felt that most everyone here puts in a good amount of their time to produce a vehicle and they deserve to be recognized for it.

That being said, I am in favor of a voting process after entries close. Perhaps a ranking process for each category, where entrants will all vote for their own cars first, then rank the rest? I’ve seen that done before with a degree of success.

I made a few rule edits to hopefully cover more bases. I also decided to make a poll instead of making it like based as suggested. I appreciate the feedback. Any other recommendations would be welcomed

Challenge accepted. I don’t think I will win, but I’ll try this competition later.

Just to add with the polls and stuff, but I feel that some stuff is quite unfair, considering how the renowned builders with more reputation will always get more votes regardless of their builds, thus the less popular ones (like me) will always get undervoted, no matter what. Think about this as favoritism, if you will.

Sometimes I stay hours and days building my cars, and no matter what, it always end up with me not getting any closer to the first positions.

I would really like if everyone was judged equally, regardless of popularity. Like if the popular people got to be ranked, they would require even higher standards to win. I know it would show some people would be worse than others, but I believe everyone can be a good builder in their ways and everyone can always improve their builds, and everyone should get a chance to win.

Sorry for being a bit too late to comment, or if I was quite rude, but I’m talking in the place of a person who got average position score as the highest ranking in competitions. Thank you for reading, and I hope you all understand.

Or, anonymous list of entered cars, and presentation posts prohibited. I know it sounds extreme, but that should in theory let you look at the car only, with no previous information on the author

Dont worry guys. I’m going to make it as fair as I can

How would the interior help with the end results? Would a detailed interior fare better than just seats, dashboard and steering wheel?
