just a quick question will motor shows be in the game ? And if so will they have a impact on your cars like if your competitor makes a concept thats fast and cheaper then your current car(s) and pledges to put it into production in 3 months will people stop buying your cars until since there car would be a more viable option ?
and at the motor shows would you be able to take your cars for there world début and concepts that you don’t plan to put into production
Ohh, I like this thought a lot! It could potentially be used to have a big impact on interest in your companies cars, positive if it’s good, negative if your car sucks
I’d think it would be better as a way of judging public demand. I mean, generally, concept cars are first brought forth in order to judge whether or not the public has enough interest to make production of the cars profitable. In this way, you could have a few motor shows every year, say one per region, and you could submit one (or more?) designs to the show and use the response to judge how public interest is changing.
Like if you show some big V8 executive saloons when really what is wanted are diesels/economy cars, the reaction would be low. The response could be broken down for each stat that is shown about the car, or something. Where the percentage of buyers that find that stat of the car acceptable.
In the example about saloon cars, you could say have a v8 and a slower/smaller v6 or turbo 4 and say the mileage is different by 10mpg. 10% might find the v8 acceptable, but 70% might like the smaller engine, so if you showed both models you would have only a 10% rating for fuel economy for the v8, but 70% for the smaller engine.
At least, thats how I would like to see car shows pan out. It would be better than just being told through pop-ups what people want, as it would promote more immersion.
