MX5 and my rusty Subaru are gone, now -> E90 325i

Let me update this Thread.
I just bought a 2010 E90 325i Aut, with 58.000km. Preowner was a 73 old guy from vienna.

I’ll put up a video in the “startup and rev” thread.

Here’s the original post.
So these are my two cars. Since i’m living in austria, and we pay taxes based on the car’s horsepower. I decided to go with the 126hp MX5 and the 125hp Subaru.
I pay 512,00€ tax for one 126hp car per year. If i had a honda s2000 with 240hp, i would have to pay 1.247,68€. I hate the car laws in austria.

Mx5 for the summer time obviously
2006, bought in 2007 with 5.000km

Subaru Legacy, 1999, rusty as fuck, but it drives and drives and drives …

update :smiling_imp:

So the taxes on one 215hp car equals the taxes on two ~125hp cars?

Nice car, btw.

Almost, but i had only ONE license plate for both ~125hp cars. So i could drive only with one at a time - therefor i only payed tax for the 126hp mx5.
Now i pay roughly double that. ~1100€/year tax and ~800 insurance.

1100/year tax…I’d crucify somebody. LOL I pay ~$200 in taxes and $1600 for insurance per year. That totals about 1600 euro per year, so about the same I guess. All of mine goes to insurance though…stupid American drivers and stupid insurance companies.

Still, can’t go wrong with BMW!
