Have had this car for close to 10 years now. She purrs like a kitten for only having 140,000 kms on body and ~45000kms on the engine/drivetrain. This car actually started out as a non-turbo 5sfe based USDM MR2 before having converted to 94+ 3SGTE (245hp).
Mods:
-custom cone-filter intake
-Upgraded intercooler + piping system.
-HKS exhaust
-ATS downpipe
-Stage 1 water/methanol injection system
Stock boost 13psi for now. 20psi soon!

IIRC it still runs on regular pump gas, but the water methanol is injected into the air stream to reduce knock.
But nice looking car! SW20 turbo is on my bucket list, owned a N/A SW21 for a few years, and currently an AW11. Fantastic cars.
I’ve been in love with the MR2’s for years, but I’m really not a inline 4 fan at all. Then I saw guys dropping Camry V6’s into the MR2 and thus, my obsession with them was born. Good to know there are others here who appreciate a well-priced, reliable; mid-engined 2 seat sports car!
Yea, the exhaust is circa mid-90’s. Right around the time when fat mufflers were the in thing. I still like it .
No the car does not run on methanol lol. It has a small nozzle that once 10psi of boost is detected, it sprays water/methanol into the intake system pre-throttle body.
