I tried to process many of the information here, but basically i understood to allow manufacturers to tune their own cars, in my opinion and in the challenge vision, tunning your own engineered car can be see as a manufactured backed team, in production series like SCCA, Latin american Touring cars or Australian Production, you dont see any of them or as im aware of…
As for complete information… i really dont understood it well, you can share your stats, while no ad is mandatory in the first phase, it doesnt mean you can not share an ad with you stats or selling your car to other users. Idk if thats what you meant by this. or for tuning info, well i let democracy decide on that
As for the limiting of cars, i respectfully disagree, as i understand all of the people want to see their cars on track, i dont want to force the users to get the cars they probably wont want, maybe for supersports or vintage vehicles an auction idea sounds promising, in a world where you can buy a corolla anywhere in the world is not too fitting. With this first phase, i wanted to let designers compete for the tuners attention, see it as the winner of the first phase will be the most cars sold (?). As for tunning easiness on one car from another, i think thats pretty subjective, as i see people doing really good FWD cars but flopping on coupes, that why the ruleset is very open to create any car “production” car possible.
Those two are contradicting goals. If some car is perceived as worse than others by all of the second phase participants, it will simply not race. So free choice in the second phase makes it far more likely that not all creators from the first phase will see their cars on track.
Oh, and if the first phase happens to have more participants than the second, then it’s guaranteed that not every car will race.
That was the vision of the challenge, to let designers compete for others creators attention as i see something being worse or better is subjective,i understand the frustration if a car doesnt make it in the market, i think i can pull the following if people are okay with it, ill let democracy decide
Leave the Challenge as it is now, a pool of cars are available for everyone to choose freely,
Allow the designer to tune their own car only if no one bought it, and cannot tune another car
Randomly assign production car to tuners assuring all production cars will race
As no comment on the production ruleset has been made, the challenge is open, i kindly remind all the users to vote into the poll for the assignation of the production car to tuners to decide the second phase. thx
