Ive built a 3700hp 660ci twin turbo v8 and now Im trying to get a car to put it in? Has andyone had any luck with this???
Nah, unfortunately that is not possible. You can put turbocharged engines in excess of 8 litres in certain car bodies, and perhaps fit 9+ litre engines as well to a select few. There are, however, some bodies, such as the CRX-like one, that will fit a maximum-sized NA engine in it, but no can do so with the addition of turbos.
V8s by themselves are pretty wide, but V8TT’s are wider than they’re long. If you do want to fit a huge engine though the modern alfa romeo coupe shell or the big long coupe shell are best, problem with the alfa one is limited front wheel widths. The big coupe shell is the community’s most favourite to pull crazy sh*t off with. You might want to opt to get macphersons instead of double wishbones in front, just to be able to fit a bigger engine. The handling suffers from that though.
