New Seats - which ones do you want?

Hello altogether,

as you might have noticed, I have “hired” content creators to cure the lack of interior fixtures - while some skilled fidding makes almost everything possible with the exterior, it´s a different story inside the cars…

Of course I look at the cars featured on discord and in challenges lately, and the new radios and steering wheels seem to be VERY popular. That´s a good feeling for me as initiator and for the modders as well.

Another thing that lacks are seats. The creator @G_Fera is currently doing a commission for me and after that one, would be ready to try out some nice “furniture”.

I will of course donate for the work, after all I do the orders so far, but will take your proposals into consideration. Still, if your proposal has been considered and released in good quality, I would be grateful if you could consider giving a few bucks to the creator. Spare time is rare, and worldwide inflation makes us doubt where to spend our free time, so it feels legit that the times of free mods are sadly over.

Both people I am a customer to, @G_Fera and @Djadania are doing good stuff for a very fair price, so please no hate there. The latter is right now busy with other commissions, but might be in charge for another project after the seats.

What proposals do we look for?

After a short discussion, a balanced thing would be great, like, some of modern supercars, luxury seats, but also standard ones that would fit in a lot of cars and look nice. Some classic seats might also be worth a try. So far I got one suggestion from @Knugcab : Seats from the Mercedes W116, which I already included in my order.

Edit: Good pictures of your proposal would be nice, so that I don´t have to look for them and accidentally get a wrong image, since some cars had different ones depending to year and trim level.

My request: Luxury 2-seat rear rows, with included centre consoles. Less asking for a specific car’s seats and more asking for an overall class. Some examples though:

Lamborghini Espada

2023 Maybach S-Class (the full interior should probably still need a lot of fixtures, but you get the idea)

Not really a seat type as much for a variation of the seat of which I would like to have the ability to have folded seats.

As for my second suggestion, I would like to do something akin to the Land Cruiser Prado’s or the LC300 seats as most seats I find don’t have that mid-class/utilitarian feel to them

I think one of Xian’s packs have those Maybach seats already, at least something very similar.

In most of my 4-seat detailed interior builds, I generally use the vanilla rear bench fixture with the center seat folded forward to simulate this - but even so, I would prefer to use a dedicated dual bucket seat for that purpose instead; the vanilla fixture set to which the rear bench fixture(s) belong does not have such a variant.

“sport” seats, Sparco SPX. We have similar seats currently but they’re about 6 foot wide and end up looking weird when smooshed, plus they’re true buckets, not adjustable like this one.
Era is like 90s-2020’s

A true 3 seat middle row would be really nice. Currently we have pretty well dedicated 2 + 1 style seat where the middle seat is also a fold down arm rest, so something proper like this would be nice, rather than having to place 3 seats and fill in gaps between seats etc. Era for these could be around 80’s-2020’s again, depending on the style and material slots given.

Again I agree with AMuteCrypt, although we do have a 2 rear seat row option, these aren’t luxury oriented. Bentley continental GT

Finally something along the lines of VIP van/limo seats, big chunky airline style. We do have normal luxury seats, but this integrated into a bench and with the armrest side pieces would be a new addition.

All these options combined with the amount of materials we now have access to should give plenty of unique designs. Good luck!

Exactly - although these are a bit difficult to handle and color change is a nightmare because they consist of 725423 different parts.

Also, a 2 seat rear seat is quite easy to do yourself, like these examples I built confirm, still, I will consider ordering something in that direction but would first proceed collecting some input.

I think we have a half-decent seat selection, though it could of course be improved and expanded.

What I think we most need for seats are more paint slots, specifically separate ones for bottoms and backs. Some existing seats are strangely proportioned or far too upright, and therefore useless.

What would be nice too would be some old school Recaros like Manta GT/E, Golf Mk1 GTI etc.

1993 Pontiac Bonneville SSE seats

1989 Olds Touring Sedan
Those same front seats are in the Toronados too

Also, making matching back seats would be nice in all cases (maybe except for racing seats and such then). It is highly annoying when you find a good front seat design and you have to match it with something not even remotely similar.

Some more advanced fixtures for the third row. Lately when designing my third rows’, I’ve had trouble making it look somewhat neat due to the lack of usable parts. Some more tailored seats and wheel well covers would be nice. Im thinking something like the current Volvo XC90’s third row.
