I just preordered the game and would very much like to help you guys by testing it.
I am a 3D artist (using 3ds max, zbrush, UVlayout just to name a few software programs) so I guess I would be able to give some feedback on that as well, I also plan to add to the modding community once the game is live.
I’ve previously been a betatester for several games, including MMO’s, FPS, and RTS tittles such as WoW, Battlefield, Age of Conan, Heroes of Newerth and Darkfall just to mention some of them. And I’ve got a fairly decent PC that should handle this game pretty well. i7, 12g ram and a geforce 560 gfx card.
I guess I will be able to clock around an hour or two a day.
I can put 10-20 hours a week in depending on my work schedule
I know and under stand the amount of work and difficulty with beta testing and have the discipline to do the research of the hard to find info.
I have done beta testing for two different program’s ( DVR network controls and wireless scanner software )at work and well to be honest I didn’t really enjoy it but I really want to see this game succeed.
I’ve preordered and I would also like to test. I don’t have any experience testing games per se, but I have created a tuning spreadsheet for GT5 which I’ve spent over a year improving with feedback from the GT community, so I think I have a rough idea of the process. Here’s the thread if anyone’s interested:
You seem to have a heap of willing volunteers but if required I just got in about 10 pcs and a couple of servers that need to be built and we’re waiting on more.
That’s a damn long time surfing the web waiting for images to load and configuring the apps that could be put to better use
But with some weird stuff happening here at work I can’t guarantee that I will be super commited.
Im willing to test if you need more people. I can put into 7-14 hours a week testing. I have done a few beta test in the past so i know what sort of bugs to look for and report back.
The only problem is, I only could put in 2hours a day, depeding how long i am at work and so on. With beta testing I am very unexperienced, still I am a highly experienced pc-technican.
And i have some data of engines (Audi 4.2 V8 , BMW 316i) I could give a try and check if the powers and octane are correctly.
I hope i can be in the beta.
Hey guys ive been following this project for quite sometime and i have also put in a Beta tester application months ago i will cut straight to the deal and say i am gonna be able to test 2-6 hours week day considering how much homework too i am in whats called 9th grade in denmark and i have lots of homework to be dealt with first but in the weekend i will be available almost all the day if not any other plans are made.
I would love to Beta The Engine Beta!
I was a Beta Tester for EA’s “Motor City Online” (thru a betanews.com article looking for beta testers), and have coded in the past. Never got into C, and never moved onto other programming languages. Now I code websites…
I can devote 10 hours a week to testing, and will keep diligent records of test’s done and any bugs experienced including what I was doing to cause it. There should be a checklist for people to fill out when they encounter a problem that records the issue, what caused it.
Thank you for considering my app.
I would love to test the demo and as a college student I have plenty of time outside of class and home work to give feedback
Plus I’m a Computer Information Science major starting my visual basics can class soon so I can potentially help debug it later on
I can offer a lot of experience in testing software and some experience in cars (to be honest not so much with the engine).
What else? I have a quad core Xeon standing round. Maybe not the most common PC you get for testing.
In regards of time I have to admit that I cannot offer that much it will spread from 4 hours in bad weeks to 15 hours in the good once. But it tends more to the bad weeks at the moment.
been following this game for a while now, can’t wait until it is out!!!
I’d love to help with the beta testing… with the work i’ve done on cars i have a fair number of engines i have the intricate details of. I’d love to try modeling them in automation and see what comes up…
motors in mind for modeling:
W123 617.952 (the all-famous Mercedes “million mile” diesel)
early 2000’s 2L Zetec
late 90’s 2.5L Duratec V6
amongst others (those are all engines i’ve personally wrenched on)
I’m sure i’ll enjoy looking up engine specs (i do it in my free time anyways) to play around with the demo.
I can devote 5-10 hours a week (i work and go to school full time but I REALLY want to play with automation)
I’ve done beta testing before, for both physical products and software, and i understand that you’re looking for specific testing and not just playing around.
I’ll be happy to help out with this game.
Have some experience building and tweaking GM Generation 1 V8s. It would be fun to see if it puts out the same numbers in this tycoon.
Don’t know if it’s relevant, but I’ve also many hours behind building 700R4 transmissions from GM if you have that in the game too.
