How Is It Scored?

There is 30 points available, the points are awarded through:

  • Livery design
  • Automation Test Track lap time
  • How easy it is to drive in BeamNG.drive

So, everyone is making the same car, then?

It’s also missing some other vital rules, such as:

  • What the exact balance of points is - is it ten for each, or is one of them more important?
  • How will points work for ATT? Rank-based, value-based, there’s a lot of possibilities.
  • Is there any limit to price or techpool, or are we just allowed to push the sliders to the maximum?
  • Will ATT time be taken standing or running? How many laps will be considered?
  • What happens if the car just blows up and breaks the exporter in Beam? It’s likely for at least one entry to do this.
  • What happens if a user paints the body transparent and makes their own one anyway? It’s technically legal, rules as written.
  • What’s the actual reasoning behind banning so many mods? Why can’t I use stuff like body torture or the modular grille kit to change the extremely limited shapes we get? Mods all generally play nicely with each other, after all.
  • How should we name our cars?

The enthusiasm is appreciated, but the ruleset could use a lot of work. I’d recommend joining some other challenges and learning how and why they work, rather than hosting so quickly.

Is this a maximum or minimum value?

The ruleset is too restrictive, its the first time the ruleset also limits the design that doesnt have anything to do with performance (apart from wing obviously)

what is att

and the aerodynamic rule is too loose while the fixture mod is opposite

So there is one track in game that was actually conceived by developers of the game

It’s known as Automation Test Track and besides being one of tracks you can test your car on in Automation, it’s also available within BeamNG.Drive

But we prefer to call it ATT: known name is long and you may find short form being quite logical

More restrictive Formula Alternative?

Also why not VVT? That doesn’t change the cam profile

Maximum

In that case, my best guess is that it’s for balancing purposes.
