Nightwave's Experiments

So, I figured this would be a good place to post the interesting “What if” designs here. This isn’t going to be exactly a “Here’s a Camaro with an independent rear suspension,” but more like “I wonder what kind of mini-car I could do with a turbo V6…” As such, most of them probably won’t have badging on them, and :cough: totally not because I haven’t come up with a coherent brand/name. This may also be stuff that makes me giggle. Not you, necessarily, but it is all about my amusement, right?

Anyway, my first experiment was a '73-ish mini-truck powered by a pushrod flat-plane V8 with mechanical fuel injection, because why not, right?

Also, I am aware that Typhoon was a turbo GMC SUV or mini-truck from the '80s–'90s. It was just the first name that came to mind.

Funny thing is that my Win10 is actually a legit copy—I just upgraded my PC last year and never got around to calling MS to reauthorize my copy. Still works, though, so I’ll get to it. Eventually.

Nice! How did you get the Fiat Panda body to work for '73, though? Did you modify the .LUA file, perhaps?

The devs changed the unlock year for that body to 1973 in a recent update, so I don’t think any file editing was involved in that year change at all.

@abg7 is right; there was no ham–fisted modding of the .LUA on my part; the body was unlocked naturally. I’ve opened none of the .LUA files and tweaked them, simply because I’m worried (with my luck) that I’d render the whole of the game inoperable, because that’s how I roll at times.
