Hi all!
Just a question for the devs about a removed feature in the new version! I used to use manual engine testing a lot to check for restrictions in exhaust / turbos and to see if engine parts are approaching damage levels, as they changed on the icons as you manually throttled the engine up and down.
I see we still have the function of icons now, but they are no longer “live” - only after we do the first engine test do we get the icons and then the changes we make to the engine just show up instantly on the icons / graphs without even running the engine first.
Curious as to why the “live” damage / airflow graph was removed from MANUALLY controlled engine testing? I quite miss that feature! The manual engine testing screen now serves little purpose other than to hear your engine run and watch the gauges (there isn’t even a “Knock” light anymore!)…the damage/airflow icons are gone from that screen and the power/rpm/economy graphs don’t even change in real time at a given engine speed
I’m not really trying to complain as I still LOVE the game regardless, just commenting that I thought it was a feature that added to the immersion, and I’m sure I can’t be the only one who misses it!
Major kudos on the Steam release / update, just recreating all my cars and engines now and the game has worked flawlessly so far (and load times for cars / engines are noticeably improved!)
Good job Devs!
