One for T16

I have two cars, but I’ll tell you about my “real” car, not the work one!
1986 ford capri 2.0 laser. Currently has 69,000 miles on the clock, converted it to the fuel injection system off a ford granada which still isnt running right! I’ll put a few pics on, any questions I’ll answer!

:High five:
I assume the last 3 pics are how it stands now?

I can’t say I like the front splitter thing. But other than that it look like you did a great job of bringing it back to former glory. How bad was the rust? On the pic it looks like it was not attacked so badly.

Also a white and a black Capri on the same forum.

niiiiiiice job

Top pic is probably the newest actually, didnt really get them in date order (oops!)
Splitter only goes on for the summer, otherwise it collects so much salt and grit its a nightmare! Rust wasnt too bad, one patch on the leading edge of the bonnet, part on the scuttle by the passenger side of the windscreen, and the lower part of the drivers wing below the rubbing strip, needs a new wing really but I think I’m gonna save up for an X-pack
Wheres the photos of yours then T16?? :stuck_out_tongue:

What is my avatar not enough.

Well take see this pic i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr299/robt100/th_DSC00873.jpg
then Imagine the Capri is white and is indoors and you have what mine look like.

Undergoing a re-build then?
If you need any parts or advice join www.capripower.co.uk if you havent already, great bunch of guys on there that can help out

Yes it a long term project, but sadly it’s on hold because the T16 needs an MOT (syn over here) and a few other things and it has priority over the Capri.

Thanks for the forum suggestion I will remember that till when I start working on the Capri again.

Looks really good!

Hey rob! Fancy finding you here.

Hey some of those picture I took! Glad to see you still have the old girl.

Hey Brad! Yup still got her, needs some work on the inner wings now, and I wont even mention the engine! Hows your 6 going? You’ll have to come up and see my place some time. Congrats on the job btw

Thought id best update this thing from page 12!
Car has been sent away to the Orkney isles to get a full 2.9 V6 24v cosworth engine swap and the bodywork sorted.
Should be good for 150+Mph when its back

I hope you will get rid of the stock manifold on that cossie v6.

A very good example how to ruin a good engine that is.

Not with my budget!! When i do change it, ill be adding turbos
