When the Launcher tries to update from 1106 to 1109, I get the following error after the patch has been downloaded and I attempt to apply it:
“Cannot Delete target file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Automation\Automation.dll”
This is occurring with a clean reinstall. The problem occurs regardless of whether I use the patch file the launcher downloads automatically, or using the patch I downloaded manually. I am running Windows 7 Pro ( 64 bit).
Any thoughts?
Can you go to that path and delete the contents of the folder yourself? (Apart from Automation_Launcher and Uninstall Launcher)
I have found a way around this error. Mine was actually unable to delete fmodstudio.dll. I launched the Automation launcher, when it asked if I wanted to retry my install I closed down the launcher first, THEN continued to install. The problem is the Automation launcher is using the file. This worked for me, I am not certain about your particular file bue it’s a good place to start, let me know.
I had the same error code and closing the game launcher after opening the patch installer but before starting the patch worked for me.
