I have some internet problems, after that I’ll finish working with Norman, then I’ll do it.
If I can get it done today, I should be able to post the new challenge (which I haven’t thought about yet)

Sounds good. Hermann has been dropped to the end of the first round.
I done the challenge, I’ll edit this post to include the new one later.
Challenge to Nialloftara
After noticing that you are a big fan of muscle cars, push rods and big engines, I decided to do a challenge that doesn’t allow you to use any of that
So, you need to develop a small hatchback, with a four cylinder engine and a turbo charger that can beat a Corvette C6 around the airfield track, but it still need to be useful, comfortable, economical and cheap.
I’ll keep limitations to a minimum, as I think this is a hard challenge in itself.
Limitations
[ul]]Front transverse layout/:m]
]You need to use the modern small hatchback body/:m]
]4 cylinder engine no bigger than 2000cc/:m]
]Must be turbocharged/:m]
]A catalytic converter/:m]
]No semi slick tyres/:m][/ul]
Minimum stats
[ul]]Reliability over 70/:m]
] Comfort above 35/:m]
]Safety above 33/:m]
]Economy better than 5.0 litres/100km (47 mpg US)/:m]
]Price no more than $15000/:m]
]And crucially, a time around the airfield of less than 1:26.8/:m][/ul]
excellent, I shall get to work as soon as I can. Now front transverse but it can be awd right? Also the modern hatch is the demo car?
Yes to both questions.
So maffc My challenge to you is The Grandpa’s Gift Challenge!
You’ve just received your license and are eager to go blow your money on a quick and flashy sports car, your Grandpa however “gifted” you with his car. It’s old, worn out, badly out of tune and badly rusted in spots but your dad says you can’t turn it down. you had saved up a few thousand dollars to buy yourself a car but now you have to spend it bringing this car to a level where your friends aren’t going to laugh at you.
you may not
change the year from 1977
change anything in the platform tab, aside from quality slider and color
the bottom end aside, from sliders
the valvetrain type
add fuel injection
remove the CAT
move any slider past +2
alter the automatic’s spacings
You may
add turbo’s
switch the number and type of carburetors
swap in a manual
alter any engine value aside from valve type and bottom end and injection
alter the automatic’s top speed
alter any and all suspension values
your goal
reliability over 65
comfort over 40
prestige over 40
safety over 25
20mpg US
Lap the Green Hell in under 11:00.00
total cost under 12,000
production units under 200

Ok dokey - here we go.
I’ll post as soon as I got it whipped into shape (he says)
A question, I can’t change the Auto box spacings, but I can swap out the auto for a manual box. If I do that can I alter it’s spacings?
Yes, just to allow for swapping in different car’s gearboxes.
OK I’ve done it. (Finally)
After faffing about failing to get the last .6 mpg out of an NA setup I finally gave in and added a turbo in addition too swapping out the slush box for a manual 5 spd box, replaced all the worn out parts, new wheels, took out the back seats (what am I gonna use em for ?) and sprayed it black. I wanted to remove the chrome trim but my “dad” (aka the rules) wouldn’t allow it.
Now she’s more reliable 65.1
comfy (for two) 42.9
prestigious 45.9
safer 25.3
can do 21.6 mpg
costs 11525.30 (143.81 units)
and can to the Green Hell in 10:25.61 -
LUA attached for verification.
I’m off to bed now so I will post my challenge for EnryGT5 tomorrow.

Is that a not-Eldorado? That styling looks insanely boss!
it would be a not-Eldorado if it had 2 doors. As it’s a 4-door, a not-deVille would be a more apt description.
Its a frankenstein non buick electra, non Ford Crown Victoria with a few other bits of 70’s american design.
EnryGT5 here is my challenge to you (apologies for the delay)
It’s 1970, Gimmer Motors have made a big mistake.
Their new Gimmer 3000 is not selling in the numbers they need (let alone hoped) and they are losing money hand over fist. It turns out their biggest market is grumpy old men and they don’t like it. It’s not comfortable enough, certainly not tame enough and only a hooligan needs a 0-60 time of less than 8 seconds.
Nor is it good enough for the younger generation who shun Gimmer as “grand-dad’s car”
Management have asked you to fix the car so it no longer upsets their core market. The problem is, they’ve run out of time & money, so you’ve no R&D budget.
Changes to the platform are out and engine changes down to a minimum. Also the resulting car cannot cost more than the original to produce.
Your target
Tameness > 48
Comfort > 46
Prestige > 20
Safety > 25
Economy better than 7.9lt / 100km
Total cost less than $8923.43
Prod unit less than 175
You may not alter anything in the platform except colour if you wish.
You cannot alter the Engine block material, bore or stroke, head material, type or valve nos.
Anything else is fair game
Good luck (I doubt you’ll need it)

The challenge for 3rayman3 is coming soon
the suspense
You better prepare yourself to work on some rusty, old Seishido metal
(It won’t be that hard )
Noooo not rusty Seishido metal
