Pleb's 3D Collection [IX35 Grille!]

What about the grille on the ferrari laferrari? Would that work?

The Livorno Grille

Hey guys! Here I have another grille for you! This one took me about 20-30 minutes, and I had no problems, so I am pretty proud! :stuck_out_tongue: It is from the Biazzerrini Livorno!

The download can be found below, and as always, any and all feedback is appreaciated!

Cheers!

Classy stuff! Gonna give it a spin!

p.s. am still progressing with the design made almost purely from your not-S15 and not-Gallardo vents, it’s more extreme than anything I’ve done before :stuck_out_tongue: But the Gallardo vent, being so angular and squarish, does have that morphing problem… I don’t suppose I could request you make a high poly version with polys in the mesh even between the existing vertices? If that makes sense (I don’t have any 3d modelling experience so I’m guessing at the terms)?

So what is it you want? A more rounded version of the grille? Or do you want a smoother UV mesh so that it wraps around corners better?

The latter! I appreciate that more polys means more processing required, so I wouldn’t want to force that on everybody (nor yourself, of course, as the generous modeller who is sharing these things with us), but for the sake of versatility, if we had the choice, I would be very grateful!

Alright, I’ll get to work on that now, I will edit this post with the updated zip when i finish!

EDIT: Here is the new download, it includes the original, and the variant with a smoother UV mesh. Also, it only has 237 polys with the smoothed out UV mesh, so it won’t be any problem for lag.

Thanks man, there’s a small but noticeable difference in some of the trickier areas! As for some of the others, I don’t think any other grille would have morphed any better because I’m using rather… aggressive placement

Accord Grille

Here is the second grille of the day! This time it’s one from a Honda Accord. Again, this didn’t take me very long at all to model, and I managed to solve a UV mesh bug that was plaguing some of my unreleased grilles! So if any of your own mods gives a “Why can’t I hold all these limes?!” error, just select all the polys of your UV mesh, and assign them one smoothing group. That’s what caused it for me!

This grille also has a very low poly count of just 179, while still looking very smooth. It also curves very well around corners thanks to a smooth UV mesh!

Anyway, on to the pics!

Another ultra high quality product produced by Pleb!

Good job mate! Looking good!

man is Pleb ever popping these out fast haha.

I hope I can be at this level within a few months

Hey Pleb,

If you want these included officially in game, please send me an email at andrew@camshaftsoftware.com, and I’ll send you the required form to allow us to legally use your stuff

Email sent!

And thanks for the great feedback guys! There will be plenty more where that came from, watch this space!

Nissan Frontier Grille

Another grille for you today!

I just modeled this as part of a tutorial stream on AutomationHub (don’t worry, I will be doing one for YouTube also!) It’s from a Nissan Frontier. This is a very butch looking grille (as described by Leo :stuck_out_tongue:) And would be right at home on a big offroader or truck. It actually has parts of the grille that protrudes out from the body which is something I have never done before, but it worked well, and here it is!

I hope you enjoy it!

this is great. thanks a lot.

Thanks for the good comments guys! I have just updated the OP to showcase all my models in a much cleaner and understandable way.
