Possible Things After Steam Launch

I am really excited about the steam launch and I couldn’t stop thinking about it all the day :smiley:! Anyways I was thinking and I’m sure about one thing and that is there will be a explosion on the number of members and community! I really wonder if there’ll be clans or, you know some people like to play with the same nationalities so there’ll be probably GER only or TUR only servers etc. And the amount of mods will be incredible! What do you guys think about it?

I kind of see where you’re coming from, but in my opinion this sort of thing (clans, regional or otherwise) will form themselves, rather than having any forced community input.

I wasnt saying it will be generated with a forced input. I was talking with the boost (youtubers and steam) there will be a new massive community and yes, I was trying to say that clans etc. will form.

This game will never be done, it has taken them 4-5 years so far, and it still lacks around 90% of the game. :smiley: :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

I am ofcourse exaggerating. It may be missing 60-70% of the game, but still… give them 8-10 more years and we may see a done game, but by then the graphics will need updating, so give them 15-20 years to match the graphics at release time aswell. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Next update will see the car designer mostly finished (just lacking some content), and then we’ll be starting on the tycoon side of things. I expect that to take a year or two, less if we can afford to hire a few people from whatever extra sales we get via Steam.

It’s worth noting that for the first few years Automation was just a side project to our day jobs too.

But yeah, we are a small team with a stupidly huge project, it’s going to be slow :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes indeed, we consider the car designer something like 90% feature complete with the first Steam release on the 12th.

I think devs are doing great. There is only 3 person and they have made an awesome game tbh :slight_smile:!

Automation could have been a more detailed and better looking version of Detroit and they would have got my attention, so to get an actual car creation kit which (almost) makes real world comparable cars and with more to come on the tycoon side of things; I am well and truly impressed and glad I invested in this excellent game :smiley:
