QFC75 - Mildly Hot Econobox
Dull, Scotland circa 2009
Our main guy "xXBaSS_Destr0yrXx" or also known as Kevin Lamont just got his license and as any reputable 17 year old he wants to rip mad skids and banging choones in his stereo all while wearing his burgundy cap and massive chainz.
However, he lives in a small quaint village in Dull, Scotland. With summer break on the way he needs a cheap and reliable shitbox.
The automobile that is chosen will be used to ruin improve it like it’s straight out of a max power magazine.

Priorities

Design
Kevin is looking for a cheap hatchback but none of those drab and dreadful sedans or soccermom mobiles that suck the soul out of you.
Something with a bit of style e.g., retro styling, sporty stripes something that at a base level screams to the youth.

Purchase Price
Kevin has some left over funds for a rainy day but ideally he doesn't wanna break the bank for some cheap thrills, since at most this will be running over the entire summer before most likely ending up in the drink with too much understeer.
Drivability
Kevin has gotten his license but you wouldn't say he's the cousin of some famous all white suited UK race driver. Ideally needs to be easy enough to drive through some B roads and the waterfront if you catch my drift.
Reliability
As fun as it might be going around driving dangerously it's no fun when you have to stop, and check why the car is spewing fume everywhere. The more on throttle action the better.

Running Costs
Since Kevin is still in his teenage years it's more preferable to him to get something easier to run without having to spend crazy amounts of money on petrol or insurance... (stuff like fuel economy and SVC will be counted here)
Sportiness
Well they do need to be slightly faster than average. How else will Kevin be able to rip mad skids down the maccas parking lot. (MacDonalds trays not included)
Performance
Kevin doesn't want to be regular traffic he wants the bragging rights and street respect of having a """hot""" hatch so stuff like 0-60s, stopping distances, 0-20m cornering is a bit important for him.

Safety
Ideally the car needs to be semi secure while he's ripping those mad skids no one wants the car to just rip in half like it was made out of cardboard.
Comfort
Cars of this calibre aren't known for their luxurious and elegant driving experience. But it does need to be at least decently comfortable to drive.
Inspirations
Ford Fiesta
Citroen Saxo
Opel/Vauxhall Corsa
Mini Cooper
Toyota Yaris

Originally this challenge was a demo derby one but I ended up shelving that idea and went with this sort of QFC71 but instead of takeovers it's just a 17 year old in the UK wanting a cheap and reliable econobox. Then the winner car will idk get turned into a max power build and then drove off a cliff as an ending. I hope this will be a bit more interesting and it sort of fits with what the previous QFC.
I don’t expect as many people to join this challenge as before and I don’t think I will be as detailed as before (partly due to going on vacation in the mid July).
Anyway enough yapping if you want to send the .car file DM to me on the forum. You can resubmit your .car file until the day of the deadline, I will go with the latest .car file that is provided.
