What happens when three legendary mid 60s muscle cars have a show down?
You get a solid show.
The Cars
on paper the SuperHawk is the clear loser with nearly 100 less horse paper, but its 400” small block and balance are what made it famous.
By turn one they were already neck and neck, the late braking of the Argon Superhawk allow it to make up room on the Lynx Regalia.
The Novara had trouble going into the switch back letting the Argon pull into the lead.
The Big Blocks power quickly made up the time before the turn 10 as the Argon pushes its way deep into the turn, the lynx continues to stick close enough to stay in the race.
The Big Block cars show what the extra power can do down the back stretch, there was nothing the Argon could do to keep up.
By the exit of turn 16 the Argons agility shows are it slides through the apex to over take the Novara, with the Lynx holding on the inside wait for someone to make a mistake.
By turn 18 the Novara powers past Argon at the exit of the turn while the Lynx struggles with traction.
The Argon just hold off the Lynx for second on the first lap, while the Novara blast down the front stretch.
The battle continues into turn 2 as the Argon pushes deep into the braking area to make up some time.
The Argon is pushing for everything its got in this battle! The Novara does a great job holding it off in most the track, but the balance of the Small block really shows itself in the bends.
Turn 10 sees another tight battle as they scream into the back stretch. oh and the lynx is still close enough to be in the shot.
Turn 12 the Lynx blows his brakes out and slides to the outside of the turn. The Novara blasted past the Argon down the stretch but cant get a gap.
Turn 14 sees the Argon take the inside and put pressure on the Novara as the final stretch nears.
As they enter the final turn Argon pulls a gap on the Novara!
Down to the line, the Novara pulls him back for the win by a fender!
