Ratings

ok so i love this game alot been on it since 6am lol

but i don’t understand some of the ratings or what a good rating would be can so1 explain thanks

Economy is in lb/hph clearly lower the better but what a good reading for say a 1.8

Lifespan is in Mrev is this million rev’s? i guess higher the better again whats a good reading? what would a average saloon car be expected to do over the course of its say 120k life?

Loudness I’m guessing this is in DB so i know say a normal track day limit in the uk is around 100db again what would your average saloon car be?

**Responsiveness ** dunno if this is measured in anything, but again whats a good reading?

**Smothness ** and last but not least my readings for this 1 are very low or seem it? i mean is 32 good?

thanks for any help with this i know quite a large amount about cars and work in a engine factory but these 1’s are baffling me and I’m sure others as well maybe a sticky or tutorial for the test bed could be made.

Yeah, we may need to explain these better somewhere

Economy is in lb/hph Can’t be in MPG as its not attached to a car yet, this is a typical fuel economy measure for stationary engines, but will only really mean much as a comparison or once you put it in a car to get MPG

Lifespan is in Mrev Can’t be in KM, as its not attached to any gearbox or car yet, so only really useful for comparing to other engines

Loudness I’m guessing this is in DB Arbitrary rating of how loud it is, as trying to explain the crazy way DB works is difficult.

**Responsiveness ** Arbitrary rating as there is no real world measure of this, its a “how it feels” thing

**Smothness ** Arbitrary rating as there is no real world measure of this, its a “how it feels” thing

ah right yeah i get ya so whats a good reading for all of them would you say?

the last 3 i seem to be getting 30-40

economy anything from 0.9 to 1.5 depending on engine type etc

Lifespan is always around 400 to 500?

thanks

There really is no good or bad, no need to measure it in absolutes!
You can make an engine which has a responsiveness of 130 - is that good or bad? Well it depends! And that you can say about basically every stat. While 100 MRevs might be high for a race engine, 1000 MRevs could be too low for a generator motor.
