Nice! Finally a classic pony car. A 60s Mustang/Camaro was on my to-do list, so I’m glad to see it taken care of.

Any chances for the convertible version of 60s pony car (Lassiter Leopard)?

sweet, I may need to change the plans I had for my company in the 1960s now.

Camy coupe released.

I’ve to finish a couple of models (the hatchback and the willys), but try this last one, is my more morphable car till date. With a good setup can work in this century :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

ermm, :innocent: sorry?.

Why is there no ladder chassis available on the Camirebird?

Due to the mid engine layout.

BTW, I had some doubts while setting up the luas, the car, with the engine placement and its seats.
It’s feasible 4 or 5 seats (morphing the car) in a front engined version but with a mid or a rear engined version… no way (there would not be enough room). It should be only 2 seats for a mid-engined version and 2+2 (max.) for the rear one…, so thinking about it, I guess that I should make a version for every engine placement.

Thanks for the great work!!

Love the R5!

Would be cool modelling the R5 into a Super Five  , and then into a non-Renault Express? :grinning:

Front and rear engine can be the same. It’s only the mid engine that prevents the ladder chassis and doesn’t fit with having a back seat.

The R5 body looks cool - I would like to see a formal 2-door coupe version of it, probably as a rival to the Ford Escort of the same vintage.

Hey, I have a suggestions for the Lassiter Leopard (image below, if possible), plus some details I do

  1. Rear side window morphing zone, as Partario’s 1969 Fuselage has that zone (both lower and upper sections)
  2. Convertible roof textures should look similar to the image I edited (ignore the unedited black potion near the trunk)
    Details: 4.2 L (256 cu.in) straight-6, 152.8 kW (205 hp), 0-100 (0-62): 9.7 seconds, Top Speed: 178.5 km/h (110.9 mph), Weight: 1497.6 (3301.55 lb)

You’re welcome, and thanks. It’s a R5 maxi turbo, thus the not so rounded rear-end and higher rear wheel arches than the regular version. Another version?, as I’ve told to szafirowy01; I’ll look into it after finishing/polishing previous models. I take note of all your suggestions, guys. TY.

Yup, finally I took that way. :ok_hand:

Oookay R5 for the win :joy:, I’ll come back to it when finishing some things.

@ohm1996,
point 2 solved.

point 1, good suggestion but in this model would be tricky. Where the rear window ends the hood starts to converge to the trunk, that means 3 axis changing their values. If I try something will be later on.

BTW, Camy updated and completed (atm).
Thanks for your feedback guys!.

Sure!!!.., the first car suggested by a forumite was an Aston.
I’ve started it (yesterday) after a little drawback tweaking the Heat hatch. I find modelling a relaxing activity

The pony car body is a great choice for those wanting to build vintage muscle cars! It can even fit a six-litre V12 up front, though I doubt it would still be referred to as one with such a complicated engine installed.

The Tornado coupe also works properly on my machine, but I prefer to use it for rear-drive cars because it feels better that way. However, the Shark targa, when used as a mid-engined sports car, has a small engine bay only big enough for a small V6, although said engine can be so highly tuned that this is not much of a handicap.

That’s the thing, you can put ‘whatever’ you want

Yup, here we have the ‘bad habit’ to create powerful monsters, but a sport car with only 150 hp can be good fun.

@ohm1996, The Camy coupe will not see more changes (so it’s finished). I’ve tried the window thing on the Heat hatch (recently updated) and it works bad (the Z axis got stuck and was not able to go back to the default position), however I’ve added to this last model a rear window morphable in the way that you were talking about.

I’ve updated the Heat hatch with new morphable areas and a ‘revamped mesh’, next to come will be more body styles, like a ‘cross country’ version (that means more height from the floor, a bit worse aerodynamic, plastics around the wheelarches and the front end…).

Meanwhile, the Vulcan erm Volk’s mesh has been (almost) finished.
I have made the rear end with a different shape (better for fixtures) and then, through morphing, get more radical shapes.

Looks nice, but maybe making everything smooth could allow it to be more generic and therefore also allow others to make it more original

It looks similar to the late “corvette” body we have currently in game, but yet just enough difference to make it unique.

I like it.

I know what you mean but I would tell you that there’s a conflict, a question (to yourself) when you start modelling a car (or anything…, I guess). What I would like to make, a regular and insipid thing without ‘identity’ or, in some way, anything better than that?. At the same time you think about the exciting world of skinning that comes in the last steps and the question is inmediatly answered.
Anyway, I started some time ago a project with a highly morphable car (called Flubby) hopefully, one day, with a strong skinning syndrome, I’ll give it a new chance
Summing up, and in a more serious tone, is not that easy, the more sharp and sporty the car looks the harder to make good and nice morphing areas.

Yep, the next pic will show that the rear end looks quite similar. OTOH I’ll try something (more) when morphing the car.

Quick test with everything setting up but the skinning thing (yehhaaa)
